Yak and Yeti or Satu'li Canteen?

This is a little off topic, but does Satuli have indoor seating? That would be a factor for me! We’ve enjoyed Yak & Yeti a few times and would love to try a new experience... but not without air conditioning!

Yes, they have both indoor and outdoor seating, it was busy but definitely not packed when we went and you could easily find a seat inside.

Have a res for Yak and Yeti. Will do Flame Tree for lunch and not go to Satuli. It looks like a perfect plan. Flame Tree lunch, Yak and Yeti for evening. Thanks for all the help

Yak & Yet is very good. I will admit that I had their special, chicken and waffles, while dining there, so it skewed my opinion.

IMO, if I'm recommending it to someone who is going and can only choose one, I'd say Satuli. It's very unique and offers something you can't really get anywhere else. The theming is on-point and the meals are very good. The cheeseburger pods are very different! Definitely pre-order.

I liked Satu'li a lot but for dinner I like a nice sit down. it feels like more of a lunch place to me :)

I think you would be happy with either choice. We just ate at Satu’li Canteen on March 1 & 2. DH & I both choose the wood fire grilled chicken bowls w/ creamy herb sauce. My base was the red-sweet potato hash, his the rice & black beans. We loved the smoky, tender chicken so much neither one of us dared to try the beef on our second visit (though I’m sure it’s delicious as well). We used the mobile ordering which worked well and saved time. The blueberry cheesecake dessert was pretty and fun but basically tasted just sugary, lacking strong blueberry or passion fruit flavors.
Haven’t eaten @ Yak & Yeti in several years but have always enjoyed it.

You know I could see that because of how the place is but I think that part would come down to if people have a more strict viewpoint of dinner..meaning do they consider dinner to be a more relaxing, sit down affair where TS is what they want or do they go more for what they are interested in irrespective of it being a QS location or TS location.

Any updates on this thread for 2024? Going in two weeks. We have reservations at Yak at 11:15 AM, right in the middle of our touring day. But, to get a nice air conditioned break from the heat would be ideal, without having to fight for a table at a quick restaurant restaurant.

Y&Y is still a great choice at AK. AC, big menu, decent quality and nice size servings. (I can’t speak to Satuli)

Like this idea. We'll be there a few weeks after you and have about the same thing planned. Figure it will be just what we're looking for at that time, especially if we get an 8am opening and have been in since 7:30--and most especially if it's in the 90s, which seems highly likely. Satu'li is great too, and of course has a few convenience factors being QS, but Y&Y is definitely more relaxing to us. And we've always thought Satu'li was at its best in the dark anyway (though naturally that's hard to get in the summer).

I enjoy them both. Satu’li is my favorite QS. I’d vote for Y&Y because you’re going mid summer and the cool sit down break will be amazing!

Two adults (Mom and I) will be spending an evening at AK -FP for the Navi River, at 5:30pm then touring Pandora area before taking in the tree of life awakenings and the river of lights. We have an ADR at Yak and Yeti, but now can't decide. Both menus look good to us and we haven't been to either. Maybe the deciding factor is how crowded would the canteen be and would we have trouble getting seats? This will be in early May.
Love Satuli. I would eat there for sure.

That Yak AC break is amazing in the summer! We also like the food a lot. It's the place my kids always want to go and we sometimes go twice in a trip. Satuli was pretty good the one time we went but I would pick Yak if I was only choosing one.

We eat at Satu'li every trip. Yak and Yeti is good but nothing special. A/C is a plus.

Wasn't the River of Lights discontinued?
If it gets dark before you leave, don't miss seeing Pandora after dark-it's beautiful!

I wouldn't go to either, and would luxuriate at Nomad Lounge. They have lots of options to combine for a full meal -- starting with a stellar charcuterie, and bread service, and churros that cannot be missed. If the weather is nice, hold out for a table on the porch. You can get on the walkup list through the MyDisney app, and the wait is usually not too long.
