I just spoke to a CM at Disney Dining and he told me they will be taking ADR's on Dec. 4 for Yak and Yeti. I will be dialing up at 7am!!!!:cool1:

Update: ADR's will be accepted on Dec. 3.

Very Cool - please post a review after you try Yak & Yeti.
Good luck with your ADR :cool1:

Thanks for the information! We are going in March and really want to try Yak and Yeti as well ... I will be the one making that early phone call as well to get an ADR. We have one at Tusker House already that I will cancel if needed!! Thanks!:thumbsup2

Did we ever get a real menu?

There is no menu yet, I have heard on other threads that they will be doing a soft opening starting Nov. 14 and start taking reservations Dec 4. People who have been in the parks say they have started cooking and it smell great. Just have to wait until next week for reviews. I am hoping for TS during our May trip. I will book Tusker House just in case.

Us too! We are also going in March. Although I am keeping the one for Tusker since we plan on going to AK twice throughout our vacation. Need the Yak and Yeti one for our first full day on the 22nd.

Wonder if they will honor Safari Card discounts like the other Landry restaurants ?

Thank you for the complete posting, that is awesome, I will be calling on the 3rd then.

So, does that mean if we would like to dine there in Dec, that we will have to utilize walk-up?? Or, will it be closed until Jan? Confused! :confused3

I've been waiting and waiting to make an ADR here for our trip in December...and now I won't even be able to??? Why won't they accept reservations until January?!?!? Ugh...wonder how hard it will be to get in just walking up....wanted to have dinner there 12/27....:confused3

The menu is somewhat disappointing. Hopefully they will tweak it. I was hoping for more Asian variety than American Chinese food. However as it's not even open yet, I shouldn't really start throwing stones!!

You'll have to use walk-up. The restaurant will be open beginning Nov. 14th, and they will only accept walk-ups until Jan. 4th. But beginning Dec. 3rd, you can call and make ADRs for Jan. 4th and beyond.

I hope this makes sense. :)

Yes, now it makes sense. I am a bit disappointed though. I was looking forward to eating there on our Dec trip, but it appears that even if we did walk-up, they DDP isn't accepted until Jan 08. Unless, I am confusing myself again!

That's what I'm assuming is the case. I plan to be at AK the first weekend in December, so I'm looking forward to trying it. On December 1, I have an ADR to try the new character breakfast at Tusker House, so maybe I'll stop in a different day that trip-a good excuse to go to AK twice (I LOVE AK).

UGH, I am SOOO disappointed too. I had hoped to use the DDP credit for lunch, but now it looks like we'll either have to pay OOP or pass on this location.......:sad2:

I am dissapointed too, I was hoping to be able to get a reservation for the week of Dec. 15. Oh well.

And, I'm not throwing stones either, but I thought it was going to be Asian fusion dining. Could that menu listed be for the counter area? It sounds almost exclusively chinese (or the American version of Chinese).:confused3

Actually I kind of like the idea that there's ONE place that can be walked up to! This making ADRs MONTHS in advance for every single place every single day is kind of making me nuts! I think I'll make a note right now on my detailed micro-managed "touring plan" to walk right up to Yak and Yeti at lunch time on my AK day in December and try to snag a table. Oh the glorious spontaneity of it...

Well why does Disney keep zigging when I expect them to zag? LOL I've been assuming Y&Y wouldn't be on the plan, so I didn't even think about it in my planning. Now I have to think about how or if I want to fit it in!
