Yak and the Yeti is just awesome! New Favortie!Jessica best server!!!

We had 11:30 ADA but they seated us earlier at opening in fact. we were seated in porch section over looking the park below. Lovely view. Jessica was our server and she was by far the best server we have ever had in our trip to Disney. She was very helpful and attentive to our needs. She couldn't have been any better.

The eggroll appetizzer is 3 eggroll and all that orderd them could only eat 1 and 2/3 of them. DH fell in love with them at first bite. He had the Maple Tamarind Chicken . I had the lettuce cups could only eat about 4 of these, and the ribs which were so moist and tender they almost melted off the bones. Topped off the meals with Fried Wontons this was just down right good.

If you can go there ask for Jessica you will not be disappointed.

I don't think you will be disappointed. The girls both order the wonton soup which they both said was wonderful and they had lo mien with shrimp added. For desset one had the chocolate sundae(which could have fed 2 people) and the other had the Fried wonton also. DH wishes he has chosen another entree but he still loved the rest of the meal and talked ablout it lamost everyday and then reminded me yesterday that we were eating there last week.

I am thinking of changing my Boma ADR to yak and yeti just for convenience of not having to travel to AKL - plus my family loves that type of food. Can you tell me what part of AK the restaurant is in please? Is it by the entrance or in the actual park?

Yak and Yeti is in the AK park. It is beside Flights of Wonder which is one of my favorite live shows and attractions there. It's all in ASIA. To the right of the TREE

Do you mean RF? It is actually leaves of lettuce that you wrapp the chicken in and there is a sauce you can add. It is alittle spicey but oh so good!

I'm a big foodie, and we will be doing the deluxe DP thanks to the bounce back promo (although the $ we are saving on dining will now need to be spent on new APs...oh well). I for one am thrilled about the Asian influence in some of these new WDW eateries, as I am a big fan. My only concern is that I have sooooo many dinner places on my list- does this place have TS lunch available?

Yes it does offer TS lunch. That is what we had. They also have CS as well. However make your ADR early though.

we stopped at Yak and Yeti on our last day of a six day vacation and it was very sad to look at the receipt and see at the bottom - "0 Dining credits available". The last day....

Our group included the following: dh- 41, has never met a plate he couldn't clean. dd -18 has never met a plate that she has cleaned (refer back to dh) and myself, 43, the resident foodie and lover of "I have to order _____ (fill in the blank) because I'll never be able to get this back home within 100 miles.

but, even tho it was the last day, I have to say that we enjoyed our lunch very, very much. My only criticism is that the menu is very simple, not unlike the local chinese restaurant here in my very small town of 3500 people. That is where the comparison/criticism ends tho.

we arrived for lunch on Thursday, Jan 10 - early and hungry, so we checked in at the podium hoping for an early lunch and we were immediately seated.
The restaurant is great and the statues are awesome, as well as all the other artifacts. Our table was upstairs, at a window with a terrific view of the bridge.

even thought the menu is simple compared to other wdw restaurants and certainly the other restaurants which we spent the past week, there was still plenty to choose from. here is a list of what everyone ordered:
dd: appetizer - mussels
main - crispy, honey chicken
dessert - chocolate brownie sundae ( which was huge!!!!) DH loved finishing it off.

dh: appetizer - egg rolls ( which he said were the best he ever ate)
main - mahi mahi filet (another large portion)
dessert - mango pie (great presentation; but said it tasted like key lime pie)

me: appetizer - dim sum (which was awesome, came in its own bamboo steamer and the soy lime dipping sauce is terrific)
main - duckling (yummy!)
dessert - assorted sorbets

the presentation was great, the food was prepared perfectly - vegetables were not overcooked, portion sizes were good to large to enormous (ie sundae!) the service was great. Lunch was a great respite and got us ready for our expedition to Everest.

I look forward to going back in October, probably only to the bar and enjoy some drinks and some more of that dim sum!

Is the menu the same at Y&Y for lunch and dinner?

I saw a guy posted a picture of the menu in another thread but it didn't say if it was lunch or dinner.

We are looking forward to trying the Y&Y when we go down in July.

Wow, these reviews are making me want to go to Yak and Yeti! I have been reading some bad reviews over the past couple of weeks and have been hesitant. However, I think i might give it a try now! Thanks for the good reviews
