Yachtsman's Steakhouse with Kids??

Hi there, could anyone comment on if its comfortable or ok to brings kids to Yachtsman? We will have a party of 9 with 5 children and are considering an early 5:30 reservation (before the dinner rush), but is it ok to or comfortable to have kids here. They range in age from 4-10 years, and are pretty well behaved for the most part! I just wanted to get everyone's opinion before booking! Thanks so much!

Kids are welcome at any WDW restaurant except V&A (which isn't open yet) which has an age minimum of 10. I've brought DS (now 14) to WDW signatures since he was 1.

Kids are fine! I have been to Yachtsman and there were definitely young children dining there. You will find children of all ages at all of the Disney signature restaurants besides V&A as others have mentioned. I have always taken my babies and young children to signature restaurants knowing that I would remove them if their behavior became an issue (it never did) and always found comfort in the fact that there were multiple other tables at each restaurant with babies and kids as well. When I took my infant and 2-year-old to Citricos at 5:30, nearly every other table in the restaurant had kids the same age! Disney is about as family friendly as you can get. Enjoy your meal, you are on vacation and should make it special! Dining is one of my favorite parts of Disney and I don't see any reason to stop eating wherever you'd like just because you have children. The only reason not to go would be if you didn't think you would be able to enjoy the meal with the kids present.

Well behaved children are welcome everywhere. Can the kids handle a 2 hour sit down dinner is the question. Best thing to do is have a backup plan. If the kids are just wiped out and can’t handle a 2 hour dinner what’s your plan b, c and d?

My kids love it and always say Yachtsman has the best Mac and cheese! Enjoy!

We have never experienced a two hour dinner at Yachtsman and we have been there almost every year since they opened.

We brought our 5 & 8 year old daughters to Yachtsman the day after Thanksgiving last year. Excellent service, fantastic food. Our waiter even brought out those light up little mermaid clips and special cups for our girls. Both girls loved their food and the waiter and staff were beyond accommodating with them.

I'll be honest, I was nervous going there because I heard mixed reviews on the food quality, but everything we had was delicious and perfectly cooked. It's expensive but I'd go there again in a heartbeat.
