I know that Yachtman's Steakhouse is a signature dining experience and requires two TS credits on the Dining Plan. Does anyone know if there is a surcharge for any of the more expensive items such as Land and Sea ($55, aka Surf and turf) or the Porterhouse ($42)? I know Planet Hollywood and Wolfgang's add a surcharge but I don't know about Yachtsman.

Also,
What are your opinions of the place? Would we enjoy Le Celliar or Concourse just as much without using two credits?

Thanks for your help!
Meredith

I remember reading that there was no exclusions at Yachtsman Steakhouse. I suspect that once you're forking over 2 TS credits, you've pretty-much covered everything on the menu pretty adequately.

My experience says that I'll enjoy Yachtsman Steakhouse about twice as much as Le Cellier or Concourse Steakhouse. YMMV.

I've been trying to figure this out. Isn't two credits kind of excessive? Wouldn't it be a better value to just pay out of pocket? (unless of course you have credits to burn)

I did the math for our recent trip (though we were ineligible for the dining plan then). We would have been better off paying OOP for our 2TS meals rather than paying OOP for the 1TS meals that we wouldn't have had enough TS credits for as a result. I think the difference was $230 for the 2TS meal and $130 times 2 for the 2 1TS meals.

We had the Surf & Turf there in October when we were on the dining plan. There was no surcharge for this. The waiter told us you could order anything off the menu even if you were on the dining plan. That being said, I would not order lobster there again. We loved the steaks but didn't enjoy the lobster. Plan on returning there our next trip, everything else was very good.
