Now that Yachtsman has reopened following its renovation, does anyone have the new menu? I leave in 8 days! Yachtsman was my favorite dinner last year and I hope it's just as good this year.

I'd look at the menu on Disney's website. It changed frequently during the days leading up to my trip, so I think it's kept pretty up-to-date.

Hope your meal is as wonderful as ours was in June, OP! We celebrated my parents-in-law's 50th wedding anniversary there, and it was a truly marvelous experience.

I'm finding that you really can't go by the menus on Disney's site. Restaurants change their menus and then it takes weeks or more before Disney updates their site. The best places are allears.net and WDWInfo.

A good example is Kona Cafe. We made our ADR based on what their menu said. Then come to find out from those DISers that were there or just came back, that the menu had changed. Someone even posted a picture of the new menu. When I called Disney Dining, the CM went to find out and came back on the phone telling me that there are no changes. In reality there are, it's just Disney Dining has not gotten the updated info yet. Because of the changes, nothing appealed to us anymore so I cancelled our ADR and booked The Captain's Grille instead.

IMO, if the restaurants are thinking of changing their menu, then they should give Disney Dining a heads up. Once the menu is finalized, then give it to the Dining department with the date that it takes effect. Not change it and have it going for weeks or months before the Dining department gets it.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is one of ADRs. I'm gonna check out the menu to see how different it is. I'm pretty sure we will be keeping it as my brother loves his steaks.

I was just there Thursday. The menu is different from both links posted here. I kept a copy because we had an anniversary one. Here is what's on it:

Apps:
Artisanal Cheeses (had it. Yum!)
Heirloom Tomatoes
beef pot stickers
charcuterie board
mussels and clams
caesar salad
lobster bisque
garden salad

entrees:
28oz porterhouse (hubby had it and LOVED it, he was also crazy about the herb fries that came with it)
8oz center cut filet
12oz prime NY strip steak (I had it. Best steak I've ever had)
16oz boneless ribeye
columbia river salmon
petite chicken
veal chop
corn and truffle agnolotti
beef hanger steak

I'm also wondering - DS turned 10 back in June, so now he's on the adult DDP. Yachtsman's steaks are pretty big for him to eat by himself (even big for me to eat). Is there anyway I could share mine with him? This is the only restaurant where we would be doing this. Can anyone confirm if this is possible. Thanks

The menu on the Disney site has the exact same list that Marnm02 kindly posted (THANKS!) and it lists the sides. If you can't see it, make sure to clear your cookies. My experience is that the Disney site is usually the most accurate, but I have my settings set to delete cookies and to automatically check for new versions of stored pages. I think often your computer is showing your cache instead of what Disney has already updated.

We're eating there next week and I am wondering if they will allow substitutions, as I don't eat potatoes. We're staying at BC, so it's just too convenient to pass up, but I have to say there is nothing on that menu that excites me.

I ate there about a week ago. It was delicious and with very very good service. We were permitted to substitute any of the potatoes or side dishes.

I can't confirm for certain at this particular restaurant, but when DS(who was 11 at the time) and I went to Narcoossees, we wanted to split the surf and turf(I wanted the surf, he wanted the turf).

I ordered him a kids mac and cheese so he'd have a side to go with his meat (and we paid oop for this of course), and we used two credits for the adult meal. They ended up bringing the adult entree on two separate plates with additional sides anyway, without us asking. He also ordered his own dessert that we paid oop for as well. I think our total was like $17 plus two credits (plus tip).

This worked out perfect for us and ended up being plenty of food.
