We are going to dinner at YS one night, for those of you who have eaten here, what would you recommend as far as appetizers/entrees? Was there anything that is outstanding or something we HAVE to try?
I enjoyed the filet. My husband spent extra money to get the special steak-some type of beef which had been massaged, etc. and it wasn't nearly as good as the filet.
Enjoy your meal!
The lobster bisque is great but filling, the caesar salad was yummy but you have to cut it up yourself. The filet without the sauce was amazing, I was able to get the bernaise sauce on the side...it was cooked perfect and tasted delish!
I have had the NY Steak twice and both times it was very tough. Perhaps because I eat my beef raw. It was very stringy and I had to literally saw and saw with my knife. I've also had the filet here which was good each time. The other cut I tried here is no longer on the menu but I don't think it was as good as the filet.
For entrees, I love the heirloom tomato salad, the scallop salad and I've done the artisan cheese plate as a dessert and it's good too. My fav appetizer is gone now.
I also like Yachtsman's creme brulee better than any other Disney restaurants. I could lie and say it's because of the few pieces of healthy fresh fruit, but it's the little rolled chocolate wafer.
I love the Filet mignon - medium, potatoe gratin are awesome a must everytrip the diamond white cheddar is great!
The lobster bisque is a signature appetizer for the restaurant. Everything we have had has been great my friends have loved various seafood dishes they have gotten there.
They do hand cut their steaks daily and make all of their food fresh daily.
