Yachtsman Steak House---how is it

I have to be honest, it was by far one of the worst meals we have ever had at disney!! Though I am a food snob. The waiter was a little rude and I had the cowboy steak which was NOT GOOD. I would not recommend the cowboy steak.

We had a very good dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. My husband had steak - delicious and I had a fish dish that was outstanding. I would definately recommend it.

This fall they changed the Dress Code to Business Casual and they are starting to enforce it, as it is now more than 90 days since the change. No flip flips, tank tops, hats etc.
When we were there in October we only saw 1 couple in the entire restaurant that was in "park attire". People are dressing up more, nice pants and shirts etc. We actually saw a few men in jackets.

We ate there several times over the past few years and loved it each visit. We always ask for Oscar as our server. He's always got a smile and is very knowledgeable about the menu. Great food and service here. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

They also have chicken, fish, and a veggie option, too.

If you like beef, try the chateaubriand for 2. We had it in October. Yum. I think the price is $80 or so. I have also had the filet there and think that it is the best on property.

Oh, try the lobster bisque. Good Yachsman cosmopolitan.

This is DH's favorite restaurant and we will be celebrating his birthday there next Sunday.

We try to eat here at least twice per year, it is one of my kid's highlights when they are home on Christmas Break from College.
We too request Oscar, but YSH has many fine servers (Thomas, Dennis, Samir, John S, "Little" John, Susan, Aura Lee, Ricky, Bev........ to name a few).
