Couldn't get a ressie! I thought no one goes this time of year! What's the deal?

There could be a convention around that time. When we were there in June, part of our stay the resort had a convention and the place was full.

Keep trying though and play with your dates. Sometimes a one day earlier or later arrival makes all the difference.

Try adding a day. I tried to get YC using Best Rate program for 6 nights and there was no availability. I added an extra night, and voila it was. Go figure. I guess they have so many rooms available for a 'block' of nights and there was a 7 night block but not a 6 night block when I looked. I thought it was really weird but others have posted the same thing. Good luck!

We were at the YC about that same week last year and it wasn't crowded at all. I just checked Expedia.com and they are showing availability for a standard view room for all the nights you're looking for at a rate of $295 per night. this week of the month is actually very popular with DVC'ers and Internet groups. The All Ears meet is during this time

12/2 and 12/3 are Friday and Saturday. Weekends in December at the resorts can be crowded because people living close come in for the weekend to see the Christmas decorations and activities. You may want to see if 12/4 to 12/9 is open.

Okay you guys are making me feel better I was worried that for the first time in 10 years I didn't have any finals, bar exams, or crappy jobs that prevented me from going during this most sacred time !!!! Can't wait, by the way Beach Club and Boardwalk were both available.
