Yacht Concierge Question

I just booked 3 nights at the YC Concierge in January. It's our first trip to WDW without the kids. Will the Concierge staff be contacting me prior to the trip? I was planning on asking them for suggestions for something special to do or places to eat.

We are headed to YC concierge in 12 days! We were never contacted by the staff, although many people are. We seem to have fallen through the cracks. I contacted them myself 2 weeks ago and they were quite apologetic and very helpful. They took care of a room request and a PS we thought up at the last minute. We had done the rest of the PS
I would say contact them yourself to be sure you get any special PS and assistance. So far, they have been great.

We stayed there in late May and were contacted by mail for special requests: limo, ps, special needs. A phone number was given so I then telephoned to ask about a specific birthday request I wanted for our son. The concierge staff was wonderful and bent over backwards to do everything I requested, they kept me informed by email and then made a point upon check-in to make sure everything was as I had expected.

My ds and I are going back over the long MLK weekend and are "wait listed" for Concierge -- I envy you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just got back from YC Conceirge, we were never contacted by them but we did contact them for PS. They were very helpful, and I did notice when we checked in at 50's Prime Time Cafe we were noted as YC Conceirge.

You will definetly enjoy your stay at the YC.
 

Thank you all. If I don't hear from them about 30 days out, I'll try to give them a call.

BTW...when I made my reservations for January, I thought I was doing it for MLK weekend....but I read the wrong week on the calendar lol!...oh well...my wife will just have to miss a couple of days out of teaching:)

This trip they called and left a message. We played phone tag for a bit until I finally spoke with Andy. Real nice guy to work with. We didn't have many requests - just some post-birthday things for DS8 and DD3. We also requested Cindy's breakfast and we'll find out about that when we get there. SInce we are going off season and with young children we didn't want to make too many PS's. I would agree that you would need them during busier times.

Another trip the YC sent us out a form to fill in with requests. I ended up just calling them

Wishing you the same pixie dust that helped YC Concierge get us breakfast at Cindy's even though we requested they try only a couple of weeks from our stay. It was a real surprise to us that they made that wish come true.
 
Hi David in Manassas - I'm in Bristow. :D I don't know the answer to your question, but you will love YC Concierge. We stayed there in May of 2001. It was fabulous. Have a great time!!!
 
We just got back on Nov. 13th from 5 lovely days at YC concierge. We had no problem with any PR. They made them for us that day. We ate in Mexico, France, England and China. I called them that morning for a 6:30 or 7:30 each night and they arranged it in literally minutes. AND, they placed the confirmation under our door for us. They were great! The food was wonderful and the nightly snacks were yummy. I am so spoiled now.:D

We've stayed there a couple of times and each time they sent us a package and a form to fill out on things we would like to do. They are great with getting you thing you'd like to do a the last minute too!
The YC is Great! I'll be there soon!!! 12/23 Can't Wait!!
 
I am curious, my family and I will be there Jan 24th-Feb 2nd. We booked our trip with Dreams Unlimited. Should we still expect to be contacted somehow from the concierge staff? I hope so. But either way, we just can't wait. Thanks.
 
they will probably send you an envelope in the mail with an itinerary sheet, and some info. But why wait... call them, Lauren and Andy are the concierge itinerary planners, and they are the nicest people!

I have a question, I see that you recently did the 7n cruise - any tips? what cat were you? We are going for New Years and are in cat 4 rm #8592 - I am afraid that this room is so/so - I've been trying to get it changed when others cancel - but guess what, no cancellations!
