Yacht Club

I just made ressies for the yacht club for wed-sun this week. Any info would be appreciated. I have never been to this resortand don't know what to expect. Traveling with my 12 y.o. and sister. We have been to Dis 25+ times but never to beach or yacht club. In fact only stayed for a two nighter in Boardwalk several years ago. Please help with info. THANKS

I personally have not been there but have heard it's beautiful. My DH is staying there in Oct. when his convention is running and he went to the BC last year and wants to try YC.
I too am interested in any info.

We LOVE the Yacht Club and Beach Club... it's the only 2 hotels we ever stay at now.... (basically the same hotel-just different decor). Stormalong Bay is amazing.... the Yacht Club Galley is fairly good, but you can't miss a stop at Beaches & Cream for ice cream after the park closes!!!! You can see the fireworks from Illuminations on the bridge connecting the Beach Club and the Boardwalk... you'll be walking distance to EPCOT and even to MGM though it's about a 20 min. walk..... just such a beautiful hotel and I just can't bring myself to stay anywhere else!LOL!

You are in for a treat! This is the best hotel!! We (my family of 5) are going back for the third time in August. You will love the whole boardwalk atmosphere. Eat at Spoodles on the boardwalk and then go to the candy store adjoining it.

We stayed at the YC back in 2002 and we all really liked it. The room was nice, it had 1 queens and a daybed. The location is great. We really did enjoy our stay there.

This will be our 7th year at either Yacht Club or Beach Club. We've stayed at other on-site resorts (ASSp, Port Orleans & Fairway Villas - long, long ago), and fell in love with YC/BC. Now, they are the only ones we all agree to each year, so we keep going back.

Can't wait, too. We'll be there Thursday a.m. until Aug. 9th, hope you have a great trip!

You will love it! We stayed there in 2000 and it was the best Disney hotel we've stayed at. We had 3 rooms all together and they were so nice and roomy. We all had two queen beds and a pull out sofa in each room. We are going again next June for a conference for work and I hope they have it booked there again. The pool area was great and we loved how you could just walk over to Boardwalk and to EPCOT...or you could hop on a boat if you didn't feel like walking. You will really love it. I highly recommend it!

We decided to switch our stay for our upcoming trip to YC. Sounds like we will be in for a treat. We have concierge garden view booked. Does anybody have any room location recommendations for us? I don't know what to request. Not sure if maybe you could have a view of Epcot or possibly MGM with garden view. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, any opinions on the concierge would be helpful. I've heard it's great at YC! Thanks!
