So I am stuck between the -

Captain's Grille or Yachtsman Steakhouse

Yachtsmans Steakhouse for definate. This is one of our must do's every trip!! The food is wonderful and I love the atmosphere.

We have done both...if you want steaks I would pick another place like Le Cellier or Jiko instead of the Yachtsman

Capt Grill is very good, the best pork chop I ever had

I would have said Yachtsman too, but last time I went in December 08 I was Extremely (capital "E" too) disappointed. It's almost like they changed vendors or something. On the other hand, we had a fantastic lunch at Captain's Grill. I love how it's generally not too crowded.

It's almost an apples to oranges comparison, though. Captain's Grill is like a really delicious family restaurant, and Yachtsman is a high-end steakhouse. (Do NOT let them upsell you to that $54.99 steak though; it was not nearly as good as they make it out to be. I deducted from the waiter's tip to compensate for that scam.)

When we ate at Yachtsman it was everything and more than we were expecting it to be. The food, the service, the atmosphere...all top notch.

We are on the dining plan..so I don't know how upsells work with that...but if the dining plan will cover it..why not

Yachtsman is a 2 table service meal, includes app/dinner/and dessert. WELL WORTH IT!

Captain's Gallery gets the nod because it's a restaurant with no sales hook or marketable items that consistently surpasses expectations. Meanwhile YS bills itself as a Very Nice Steakhouse and often underperforms.
