Yacht Club or Polynesian?

I had planned on splitting our stay (4 nights each) between the two. Now DH is saying he'd rather not move - that he'd feel more relaxed knowing we'll be in the same place all week. I personally love MK but DH loves Epcot. I had planned on a lagoon view at the Poly and a water view at YC. We mainly want something quiet and romantic. I'm leaning towards YC because DH loves the ESPN club and we've never stayed there before.

Any suggestions?

I really love the Epcot resorts and I think you and your DH will too. We spend most of our time at Epcot and on the Boardwalk b/c we like to relax, eat and drink.

If I could, I'd like to suggest the BC. I've been to the YC several times and for me it's just lacking some magic. It's a little stuffy and I never see hardly anyone there...it's either dead or business people (sometimes dead-looking business people ;) ). I personally love the BC and the proximity to Epcot can't be beat. Consider the BWI or BC for their energy, but look at pictures and see which one suits your style. :)

Have fun!

I agree with Allison (the newlywed) - go for BC or BWI over the YC - quieter and more relaxed - there are always a ton of kids at YC.

Actually, I have always found YC to be the quieter resort, with BC having more kids. In any event, you can't go wrong with any of these suggestions (although, as a YC fan myself, I would go with YC).

Actually, we've found it to be just the opposite. YC is far more subdued than the BC. BC is where the families with kids are.

I think if you want romance you can't go wrong with the Poly. You can walk to the TTC for the direct monorail to Epcot and the access to MK couldn't be easier with boat or monorail.

DH just called me and we were talking and he said, "Well, why don't we go all out this time and book concierge?" :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

That will make things so much easier for me because I'm super busy this summer with a few confrences and taking some new graduate classes.

So - which has the best concierge?

The best reviews I read have been for BWI and AKL. I think I'd give BWI a try if I were you. I've read mixed reviews on YC/BC & WL concierge. I LOVE the Poly concierge because the location is perfect for my family with 3 small kids but if I were doing an adult only trip I'd give BWI or AKL a try.

my family and i are HUGE poly conceirge fans!!! we love sitting in the lounge at night having an after dinner cordial watching cindy's castle change colors.. or walking on the beach watching the electical water pageant.. we also love grabbing breakfast as we head out the door to the parks.. unlimited drinks.. they always have a nice selection of foods and desserts out.. i have never tried YC conceirge.. i dunno if it's the same for both, but i have done BC and didn't think it was anything spectacular..

hope that helps.. and CONGRATS on going conceirge you'll love it!!!
