Rates are within dollars of each other so pricing is a mute point. However, never been to either and need advice on which one to select. I'm from the New England region so I might be partial to the Yacht Club.

Yacht Club shares arguably the best pool on WDW property with the Beach Club. I'm staying at Boardwalk for the first time at the end of the month, but I have been around the area several times. Yacht Club/Beach Club have been at the top of my list to stay at, but the Boardwalk is a great area to be at, and it also has one of my favorite restaurants on WDW property. I believe the walk from EPCOT is about the same from both. The boat stop is in the middle of both EPCOT and DHS at the Yacht/Beach Club (stop at Boardwalk while going to EPCOT and Swan and Dolphin while going to DHS). The boat stop at Boardwalk is the last stop before EPCOT. If you go to DHS from the Boardwalk by boat, you have two stops (Yacht/Beach Club and Swan and Dolphin) before getting to DHS. Your decision might be based on what appeal you are looking for in a resort. It's an easy walk to all 3 of the resorts around the Boardwalk area to enjoy all of them if you wanted to adventure to other resorts.

I have stayed at neither so I'm no help! But, Pete Werner (owner of the DIS) just did a best/worst podcast and voted Yacht Club the "worst deluxe" so maybe listen to that podcast to get some insight. Even after listening to it, I'd still stay there! Again, I'm no help!

I liked the Yacht Club before the latest refurbishments, but the changes seem to remove most of the obvious nautical theming.

The pool is so worth it. Would you rather have a luxurious sand bottom pool or one with a giant clown slide? Yacht club is beautiful, best pool on property, and the CMs are very hospitable.

I've stayed at both, although it's been years since I stayed at the YC. We are staying again in July, though, and just did a quick sisters trip to BWI last month.

Both are great resorts. I might love the BWI a bit more, but then the pool at YC gives it the edge. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with either. My only concern about the YC right now is the refurbishment going on.

I've stayed at both--BWI in 2012 and 2017, and YC in 2012. I prefer BWI. Although the pool at YC is amazing, it is also more crowded (or at least during the times I have been.) I also love the theme/decor of BWI more.
Both are beautiful though, I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to stay at YC!

i have been trying to stay at yacht club for years!!! lol! when i did my research i really liked the decor and layout of boardwalk as well. the pool and the fact that a family of 5 cannot stay at boardwalk kinda made the decision for me. location of both is really the biggest draw for me... maybe post-kids we can hit the boardwalk!! i can dream...

We've stayed at both. BWI multiple times and YC only once . . . so you can probably guess my answer!! I found YC to be very subdued and very much a convention resort (you may see people in business meeting attire in the lobby). There's just really nothing going on there! If you like that atmosphere, it may be the right resort for you.

We LOVE BWI! We love the theming, the variety of TS and QS on the Boardwalk, the entertainment on the Boardwalk in the evening and the ability to walk to both DHS and EP (BWI is closer to DHS). My DS9 also actually prefers the pool at BWI. The slide is faster and I like the fact that everything, including the pool bar is accessible and visible from the pool deck (at YC/BC's SAB, it's very spread out with the pool bar outside the gates and the entrance to the pool slide across the walking path). At BWI, I love that I can see my DS9 wherever he is in the pool and I can even see him when he's waiting to go down the slide.

Even if YC were cheaper, I would still pick BWI over YC any day of the year!

Yacht Club. We have stayed at both, and while the Boardwalk is nice, the pool situation is a no. I can't do the giant clown pool. And I feel like the resort rooms are needing some refreshing and updating.
YC has been undergoing renovations, and I personally find the new decor to be much more "true Yacht", than it was before. We will be staying this May, and frequent the BC as well.
Location, pool, dining and cast members have all been tops for us for many years.

A family of 5 can absolutely stay at the BWI. 2 queens and a very comfortable daybed.

OP I am having a similar struggle. We are booked at BC and I am tempted to switch to BWI. We are going for Thanksgiving, so I don't even know if we'll be able to use the pools anyway. I just feel like an idiot, because I have changed our hotel 3 times LOL Maybe I am just too twitchy and need to stop.

Yacht Club! Going for my second time this December. I couldn't imagine staying at BWI and looking across the lagoon and seeing the amazing pool that I couldn't use. I also like the decor and look/feel of the Yacht Club more than the Boardwalk. But, that's just my personal preference.

You really can't go wrong with either the YC or BWI, the EPCOT resorts are fantastic!

We stayed at YC x2 and BW x3. YC we feel is more quiet, subdued and grown up. Our teens loved the pool! BW; we like more. We like the fun atmosphere, the theme, the proximity to DS and now we love the villas.

Both can have quite a walk from the pool or lobby to your room. At YC we had a very long walk, DD kept saying it was the "Redrum" hallways.

I would pick Yacht Club...the clown pool creeps me out and we love Stormalong Bay.

THIS! This is exactly what I was going to say. Boardwalk was a consideration for our next time until I saw the clown pool. Nope, no way. Plus, the YC pool with the Shipwreck slide looks amazing!

We almost always stay at either Boardwalk, Yacht or Beach Club, so we'd pick wherever could save you a few bucks.

Yeah. No on that pool. I don't do clowns. And that is the kind of clown that has that creepy dark closet popping out at you, Steven Spielberg IT, kind of vibe!
