Yacht Club Full Next Week?

Just tried to get a room for my In-Laws on Sept. 13 and was told there were no rooms available except the junior suite. I thought Sept. was supposed to be less crowded? Is there a convention going on? I lso saw that the park hours have been extended an hour at the MK. Does anybody know why it is suddenly so crowded?

It appears as though just the 13th is the problem. I went to expedia and found rooms at the Beach Club available for that whole week. The beach club is actually part of the same resort area (sister hotel) ...

I tried the same thing on the Disney site and no rooms came up for the YC at all for the whole week. The site kept redirecting me to the Saratoga springs Resort as an alternative. Maybe because the 13th is booked so I couldn'y get the other days?

Yeah, the Disney site won't "split" the stay for you, so if one day is unavailable they'll say the whole thing is. Often bumping the dates forward or back a day is all it takes to make it go through.

Ok what was said before is Sept and Oct are huge convention times and the Epcot resorts are where they stay..The last i heard you can't get into any for the whole month of Oct..I could be wrong though

I tried playing around with the dates. There is nothing available at the YC for all of next week. Even on Expedia. Hopefully it is just a convention, (called the YC and asked but they wouldn't tell me), and it won't affect the park crowds too much.
