yacht Club Dining

my concern is with our dining plan - we got the one that has a quick service, a table service and a snack daily. When we went and stayed at the CBR we had our breakfast be the quick service and split it so we saved up credits. Will the beach club marketplace be ENOUGH for us to do this? Is it a full meal? Warm food?

Ale and Compass Lounge or the Belle Vue Lounge (in boardwalk, but close enough to walk) was also listed as a quick service on the brochure. Is that the type of place that will have hot breakfast? Is it a variety of eggs, pancakes and waffles?

If these don't offer quick, good breakfasts for counter service we may have to upgrade to the table service. A bit worried...

We actually changed our ressie's to Carribean Beach for that reason. I really like the food court and from all of the replies I get here I do noth think I will be happy with the dining at the Yacht Club.:confused3

Neither will be a variety of eggs, pancakes and waffles. You are more likely to find croisant sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, pasteries etc.

The YC is so close to the Dolphin. They have a nice quick-service/cafeteria there called Picabu's, and you can get a 20% AAA discount there. The walk is just as short as the walk to the boardwalk.

You will have a fridge in your room, what we like to do is pick up something on the way home each night and stash it in the fridge for bfast in the morning. We use our snack credits for pastries from France or on of the parks and if you are at BCV warm them in the micro or warm them at the market on your way out. You can get hot bfast sandwiches but you can make a nice bfast from snacks credits, and like OP said get a case of water and drinks from the gas station, we also pack cereal bars, fruit and bagels with cream cheese to keep in our fridge. With Epcot in your back yard you don't want to spend your CS on bfast food you can eat anyday at home, use them to sample around the world at the CS or grab a lunch CS at the park you visit and come back to use your TS at the many options you have within walking distance to your room. We even box up leftover dinner to bring back to the fridge to eat for bfast!

We just got back from the YC and loved it! We bought cereal and milk and had breakfast in our room, we did the character breakfast at the beach club, we also bought pastries, egg sandwiches, etc from the beach club market place. We took them to go and ate them while walking to Epcot or waiting for the bus. They have tables you could sit at in the market place as well as tables outside that you could sit at to eat if you choose. We loved the pool, our room with a balcony and the whole feel of the resort. We did not feel limited in our options for breakfast. We loved going back during the day for a break at the pool. We would definitely stay there again!!

This is true, but you could not use your DDP credits at the Dolphin.

I agree with a PP. Personally, I would not use a CS credit for breakfast. We stocked up on quick (not hot) breakfast type things and ate in our room for breakfast. Then we used a CS credit for lunch in whatever park we were in. Then we used a TS credit for dinner each night. At the YC you are so close to Epcot that if you have Park Hoppers you can enjoy the restaurants in World Showcase for dinner.

We love this area and the BC/YC. But as I said earlier, if a Food Court is one of the most important things to you, you will be disappointed.
