Upon arrival to the beautiful and scenic area that is Disney World you will be encompassed by incredible nostalgic Disney figures and icons that will woo you right back to your childhood and allow you to escape all of your stresses and worries in a minutes time.

The solution to breaking down the barrier of the Yacht Club resort is simple. You need to be in the mindframe that you're on a cruise. If this is not in your mind you're going to be confused from the start. A nautical theme lines the interior from the beginning and upon arrival. A globe sits centrally located in the lobby and there are nautical handle steering wheels and port holes and many other features of a ship located in the lobby in the Yacht Club's design. When you come up to the counter you'll be greeted just as you are at any resort. The respect and fun and cheer is there, but the fact that you're on a ship is lost. The hostess does not even stay in tune with the nautical theme. You might as well be checking in at the Holiday Inn 10 miles down the road.

The arrival inside the room is what makes any Disney stay magical. Walking into a Yacht Club room we see wonderful carvings on the bed frame. A wheel just in place at the head of where you lay down to sleep is magical. The bed sheets and wall paper also fit the feeling. And whether you're overlooking the lagoon on the Boardwalk or a pool within the resort the decks are just as great. The nautical theme does work well. The only problem is that the entire room seems to be treated like something more than it is. It's not treated as a simple room on a cruise ship as it should, it's treated as a 5 star deluxe room by the walkman, even though that isn't what it is supposed to be or what anyone wants. Alas, it is still a great room overall. When Disney is reaching for the theme of a cruise ship this is how the hotel should be treated, but that is lost past some of the decor and the first impressions.

The pool deck is beautiful though. Let us not forget the famous Yachtsman's Steakhouse and the lounge areas. Absolutely beautiful. The steakhouse is fine dining to the upmost standards. The food is simple, yet elegant, and the service is top class. I would recomment the restaurant to anyone. Beaches and Cream is perfect for a family on the budget just looking for some grub while lounging in the pool area. This works perfectly with the Disney theme. I loved it.

Cape May Cafe is extraordinary for kids and adults who are kids at heart alike. The characters are fantastic. Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, and others come around to cheer you up to your hearts content. The breakfast buffet is fabulous. I loved every minute of it and I'm sure most would agree.

The Beach Clubs rooms are not synonomous with the Yacht's but they are similar. Obviously, instead of a nautical theme we have a beach theme. It works well. Imagine young kids shoveling away in the sand on the beach and bringing that right into your hotel room. Well... that's what you get. The realism of the beach is captured in every way possible. And in the lobby you are able to watch Disney cartoons and have fun... just as if you were at the beach.

Both resorts are wonderful. The rooms, the food options, the pool, etc. These two resorts are wonderful and it is an absolute gift that they are connected. I could not be more proud of the resorts and they offer the adventure and thrills of a life time. You will not be disappointed staying at either the Yacht or Beach Club. Have fun out there!!
