Yacht/Beach during March Spring break?

I know the weather will do what it wants in March - could be hot, could be cool. Just looking for personal experiences with Yacht and Beach Club during the month of March. Did you get pool time in on your trip, and were you comfortable?

We could move Yacht Club to a summer trip and stay at Wilderness Lodge in March.

In March? Absolutely, it's very likely most/all of your days would be considered pool days. We usually get pool days in Jan and Feb many years. March has not been a concern. Could you get rouge cold front for a day or 2? Sure, but not likely. If anything, you might find Stormalong Bay quite busy in March, as northern folks are longing to do things that let them forget the winter!!

March is a great time for either BC or WL. The weather is usually great with very limited chances of rain. I wouldn't change to the YC in summer. The resort is lovely, but the summer weather will be hot, humid and possibly rainy.

We've stayed at all three of those resorts. The main pool at the Wilderness Lodge is always crowded because it is small. The villas pool will have plenty of seats, though.

Storm Along Bay gets busy. The only time we had a really hard time getting lounge chairs at SAB was on a Halloween party day. It seems as if a lot of people spend a party day at the pool. But otherwise, we can usually find something to sit on.

We’ve been at YC twice (2022/2024) in March and enjoyed it both times. For the parks being so crowded, it never felt overcrowded at YC (and not as loud as the values). You may have a couple cool mornings, but the weather is pretty great and good pool weather. Even if it’s warm it’s not humid yet so it’s fine.

I went in March and got zero pool days, way too cold. We thought we might be able to play in Stormalong sand or maybe hot tub, but that was a quick one and done.

Disney pools are always full at weather I do not consider close to swimmable. I suppose we are less impressed with Disney pools, as we have our own pool and reasonable climate.

In my experience, Disney pool heating is not close to the standards of other hotels. It is possible Stormalong Bay fixed this somewhat, the amount of new equipment there now is incredible. However, I would not bet on this, even for pools Disney claims are heated.

We had Uzima Springs at Jambo House all to ourselves a few years ago when it was 48 outside. Between the heated pool, adjacent hot tubs, and plentiful towels, I think WDW pools are swimmable 365 days a year. To each their own.

I'd be much more concerned about SAB being overcrowded in March than it being unswimmable. I'm not worried about it being overcrowded for us next weekend!

I think it partially depends on where you are from. We are from Massachusetts and go in the pools when we visit in December. I don’t think my nephew has ever gone to Florida and not gone in the pool at least once.

Disney pools are all heated to 82 and monitored. You being used to your own pool and weather it may not feel like it to you, but it’s well known. They are not lagging the rest of the industry in this area.
