YA HOO! Hoop-Dee-Doo!

This month is one of my favorite Walt Disney World PS events, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort & Campground. I've been going to the Hoop-Dee-Doo since my honeymoon in October of 1983...hey, I guess that makes it our 20th wedding anniversary!!

So, stop on over to the PS Planning Guide to find out what all the song singing, dancing, joke telling and eating is all about! And, if you see a rather plump angel on the stage, tell Ray Sharpton once was enough!

Once and for all, does anywone know how seats are assigned at hoop de do? I've had WDW dine tell me it's when you make the reservations. I also heard that it is when you chack in. Does anyone know for sure? My wife and I are taking my parents for their first time and we want great seats. THANKS EVERYONE.

As I mentioned in the article, my new understanding which has been confirmed by well-placed sources (gee, I always wanted to say that!), they are assigned at the podium at check in. However, group size can dictate location to. Couples will usually get the tables upstairs along the railings and sides. Large groups in back and center both up and downstairs. Families of four and five towards the stage, etc.

They know how many groups and what sizes and they set Pioneer Hall up accordingly.

That makes it more stressful . Last year my wife and I were not early (but did make PS way in advance) and were seated right up against the stage. I guess we'll just have to be early.

I'm not having any trouble. It is hosted by a Canadian company near Montreal. Maybe there's a problem between them and the west coast? Sorry, try again and hit refresh and see if it comes up for you.

I just made my PS for July and asked the CM about seating.

When you call to make the PS, they mark off the number of people per seating area, starting with the front and working back until all seats are filled. You don't have an actual seat assigned to you when you call, but you have your table area all set. The CM told me I had called early enough to assure that I was booked for the front area, but the actual seat will be assigned when you check in.
She said they do this to avoid empty seats in the event of "no-shows".

Just got back and have to say this show was THE HIGHLIGHT of our trip. My 7 yr. old with the Eeyore attitude went in dragging his heels and ended up laughing his head off. He got all the corny jokes, stupid puns and thought it was just about the funniest thing he'd ever seen.

YOU SHOULD GO!

I made our PS reservation 4 months prior and was glad. OUR TABLE ASSSIGNMENT WAS MADE AT THE TIME THE RESERVATION WAS BOOKED, NOT WHEN WE CHECKED IN AT THE PODIUM!!!!!
We ended up sitting right up against the stage!!!!!

I have some questions...we are doing the Hoop Dee Do on our upcoming trip (hooray! ). How early can we check in to get our tickets? Can we pick them up prior to the day of our PS? If we are staying off-site, can we go to any guest services at a Disney resort, or do we have to pick them up at Pioneer Hall?

As the article states:

...you pick up the tickets either at Pioneer Hall or at any Resort Guest Services desk.

And, you can pick the tickets up before or on the day of your HDD PS. Have fun!
