Snapper Foster is Jill's brother and Liz is her mother.(only now we know it is through adoption)Liz used to work as Mrs. Cs. housekeeper back in the day. She is how Jill came to know Mrs. C. Jill did her nails back then and fell in love with Mrs. Cs husband. Hence, the long standing war between the 2 of them. When the show began in the 70s, the Foster and Brooks families, along with the Chancellors, was where it all began. Snapper Foster married Chris Brooks. There was also Leslie and Laurie and Brooks. Then there were the Prentiss boys-Luke and Lance. Leslie was in love with Lance, but he wanted Laurie. Blah, blah, blah. Then, somewhere along the line, Mrs. C brought in the Great Victor Newman! I believe the Reed sisters were already part of the cast by then. I think Nikki was with Greg Foster at some point in the early days of the show.
Honey will have to fill you in on all the backstory when she returns. She is great at that stuff.

Nikki was married to Greg, and then she started stripping. I can remember Greg running up on the stage and trying to cover her up. And Mrs. C married the male stripper, Cash I think. I think it was Douglas who brought Victor to a show to see Nikki. I loved Douglas!

Jill married the old man Brooks, so they were all related at some time or other! I think Liz married him, too.

Didn't Paul and April live next to Snapper and Chris?

Did anyone else fall out laughing when Phyllis said "he is almost a grown boy." He's been married and divorced twice!

OK, so it makes me nuts too, but that whole “what am I gonna do without you” thing is exactly what we should expect from Sharon! As nauseating as it is, is it really far-fetched for her??? And, come on….seriously?? You want to see Sharon ( again with the whiny crybaby -“help me, it’s not my fault, I’m under stress”- mantra) get back together with Nick? Why? By the time Phyllis got around to Nick, that relationship (S&N) had a fork in it—IT WAS DONE! By the time Sharon and Nick went their separate ways, she had already slept with any/everyone who gave her the time of day! After they got married, she had an affair with Victoria’s boyfriend, and then got really crazy with jealousy because he didn’t want her—he wanted Victoria!! Soon afterwards, she had one of her “weak moments” and shared a kiss with Victor (that Nick saw thru the window!!—what kinda therapy do you need after that!!). Then there was the time when she left town and had that affair with the guy that beat her up, and she killed him (but she ddnt remember and then there was the big coverup, but he wasn’t really dead or something!!). Then, of course, there was the affair with Brad (another of Victoria's men)! Come on, you guys, she has never been able to keep her pants on!!! OMG, she even slept with Billy…her husband’s little brother! (watch out Victoria) She was so (ahem) “stressed” (cough, cough) she didn’t even know who the father of her kid was (because she had slept with Billy and Jack on the same day, then Nick the next day!!)…I swear she named her baby Faith because it was by faith alone that she figured out the paternity!

Sharon keeps turning to Nick because nobody else gives her the same benefit of the doubt! They know she’s just using them, and then they know she’s gonna use someone else as soon as they cant give her enuf attention!! In fact, she was probably a part of Adam’s plan because he knew how easy she was!! UGH!, please, I’m so tired of her “poor thing”-excuse for being a slut!! Phyllis may be witchy, but at least she’s got good reason—wouldn’t you be snarky if there was a weak-willed woman just waiting for your husband, playing on his emotions, reminding him that he loves her best?

Y’know, I think Sharon’s a nice girl too, but if she were my husband’s ex-wife, I’d always be watching my back!!

…and I agree, I think Nikki was referring to Phyllis while Phyllis was referring to Sharon!! Then again, (hmmmm) maybe Nikki was thinking about Ashley, Then again, does Nikki really have any room to throw stones?

ugh....I gotta cut back on the caffeine … Sorry guys, but Sharon just infuriates me!! .....ooooooh now I need a drink

So, I’m pouring my drink (ok, not really), when I remembered something else……After she delivers Nick’s stillborn baby, and returns home from the mental hospital, what does she do??...She claims her independence!!!...and how does she do that?! ..... She waits 5 seconds then decides it’s a good idea to become “friendly” (wink wink) with the town psychopath who happens to be her evil brother-in-law! Then!...when everything falls apart, the only person to figure it all out and stay determined to save Sharon from herself, is the one person that has a better reason not to--Phyllis!!! If it wasn’t for Phyllis, Adam probably would have killed her and inherited the Newman settlement that she got from Nick!
UGH…Sharon just annoys me!!.... OK OK OK …..I’ll stop ranting now!! ...start drinking again (ok, not really )

I too am one who can't stand Sharon with Nick. I was against the Nick and Phyllis pairing when they were first fooling around with each other but I like it now. Sharon just needs to learn to be a women on her own without a man - its like she always has to have male companionship.

Another pairing I am hoping they keep is Victoria and Billy - I love love love this storyline and it actually makes Victoria someone I look forward to seeing on the screen - before I could care less if she made an appearance. I am feeling that way about JT and Mac - maybe its just JT - ugh why is he so self rightous - like we are supposed to forget his past sins!!

The bartender told Victor that Adam was staring at Skye's picture-I would have trouble recognizing someone in a picture that small from across the bar, but blind Adam could see it?

I guess the writers expect us to forget stuff all the time. Remember a few years ago Victor went looking for a missing Adam. That was dropped, and the next thing we know Adam is an Ivy League grad.....

I KNOW!!!!!! I was thinking about that “gotta find my replacement son” search thing too! No one (on the show) has ever even referred to it!! Maybe that’ll play into this story line…maybe Adam was missing and now it matters! …and the blind thing! Even tho he was faking it at first (with the botox injections in the eye ), didn’t the doctor say he had the same disease his mother had? ...and here he is looking at a computer screen across the room!! Do the writers know the difference between blindness and farsightedness?

So, after seeing this crazy poker game scene and hearing that the judge got $10mil….I gotta say again, this is a ridiculous storyline!! Even if Adam and Skye originally had this master plan to play poker, steal money and run from the law, why wouldn’t they drop it after Victor took Adam back to GC ?!! Seriously….If you’ve got an MBA from Harvard AND Victor Newman (and his guilty conscience) handing you money in the form of a trust fund, job as a senior executive, plus recreational money, etc…why would you walk away from that? I mean come on!!…really?? Even if Adam thought he was disliked by his new family, he could have punished himself by sacrificing that glamorous life in GC for a less exciting life in NY, Paris, Tokyo, or anywhere there’s a Newman office!! He would never have to see them again, and still spend all The Mustache’s money!!! Now, that was the biggest score of his life!!

Yea, but they’re always looking over their shoulders and fearing for their lives or jail! That kind of excitement has gotta wear on a body!! Besides Adam’s pimpin’ himself either way!! If he had gone the way of the Mustache, at least it would have been an easier lifestyle (how much work would he really be doing?) and when he ends up bent over a chair, it would only be a metaphor!!

As someone else previously mentioned, I have never liked watching any of Victoria's story lines at all - boooooooorrrrrriiiiinnnnng - but - I'm loving the pairing up of her and Billy!! He can be a real jerk at times, but he's funny, happy-go-lucky, and really knows how to get Victoria to "cut loose"..

JT annoys the heck out of me.. I think his indignation is a bit over the top.. He hasn't always been perfect either..

Not liking Tucker and Ashley together.. Eeeewwwwwww..
