Y&R take 3 - SPOILERS inside

Okay, I "get" the whole hysterical pregnancy thing .....

but wouldn't Ashley notice that there is no change to her "va jay jay" after giving birth?????

She's a little crazy but she's not stupid.

However, I have to admit, after all the protesting I did, I didn't hate today's episode. :rotfl2:

Yeah...I was thinking that, too. But didn't know how to gracefully put it into words :lmao: . And all the other post-pg issues (you know where I'm going with this).

I didn't watch today's...might have to watch it on CBS's site later. At least I can skip/pause the parts that I don't like.

Wow, I go to WDW for a vacation & a new thread gets started. I agree that this new baby switch storyline is dumb & if I'm not mistaken didn't ATWT do a baby switch story several years ago with Lily's baby and the babies names were Hope & Faith? Except that there were two actual babies and not one imaginary one...:headache: I think they have some unemployed writers at GL who could come up with better stories.

Yep, I didn't even put that together! The writers aren't even creative enough to change the names when they steal storylines!

Lily had a baby (Faith), and James Stenbeck's son David stole her and switched her with another baby (Hope). Hope ended up being the biracial child of Denise and Andy Dixon!

Guess I'm among those who are finding the soaps annoying and barely worth watching now.. At the rate they're going, they will all be off the air soon..

Y&R: I FF through everything except the Colleen storyline..

BB: Only reason I tape it is so I don't have to reset the VCR - FF through the entire show..

ATWT: FF through everything except the Liberty storyline..

So basically I tape from 12:30 pm to 3 pm - and then actually watch probably a total of 20 minutes tops..:rotfl:

Boooooooooooring...:rolleyes1

Ashley didn't have a baby so why was she have pains and how can she breast feed?

I can't believe that the writer are so stupid. I know soaps are make believe but please try not to be so far out that no one wants to watch.

I totally agree!! I know we are supposed to suspend disbelief w/respect to soaps but this is just too much!!....this just gets crazier and crazier to me…
• Victor hasn’t admitted exactly what he had done to bring MJ/Patty back to Genoa City, right? Given that the whole scheme is pretty far-fetched, how’d everybody figure it out?….and they all figured it out in pretty detailed fashion too. I mean, we’re all flies on Victor’s walls so, of course, we know what happened…..but how’d they figure it out? Seriously, if this was your life, would you have come to that conclusion?……”Looks like my father found that unstable transient, Patty and gave her extensive plastic surgery so she could come back as a sane accomplished businesswoman, and torment Jack, while keeping the secret that he(Dad) was behind it all. She may be unstable, but she's reliable!”
I mean….really….would you have figured THAT out?

• Isn’t Neil Victor’s friend? Why hasn’t he come to visit Victor? …why hasn’t Devon gone to see Colleen? Maybe we’re supposed to assume that all of that has occurred.

• Doesn't Chancellor Industries already have a CEO (Neil), what other job exists that Kay's gonna give Jill? ....Oh no!...looks like Neil's gonna hafta drown!

• If Lily had a complete hysterectomy, how would she be able to carry her fertilized implanted egg? Isn’t her uterus gone? ....Come'on, folks...we all know that's where this storyline is going! They've forseen it too many times...plus, in the dream, Colleen told Lily it would happen. We all know if they say it in the dream, it's gonna come true! :confused3

• …and I’m with you guys, I hope Ashley’s not breast feeding! …that would be just “over the top” nasty! :scared1: I’d accept a baby-snatching storyline before I can accept this baby-switching thing. Even a mixup at the hospital is more acceptable! Besides, did you see how casually it all was done?

• …and…is it me, or did Nikki ask for “Victor’s heart” while Colleen was still hooked up to the machines. I could easily have missed it (only ½ way watching anymore) but she’s still technically alive isn’t she?

I feel the same way.

HonnyDipp.... I was just wondering. Do the other Y&R sites that you go to feel the same way that we do?

the message board that I run is very upset with the direction the show is taking. We even started a petition to have the head writer fired!

Billy Leaves Jabot!

After Colleen bites the dust and Traci agrees to give Victor her dead daughter's heart, Billy has trouble coming to terms with the situation. "Billy is still furious with Victor," nods Peter Bergman. "He doesn't think that Colleen would want Victor to have her heart, and is angry that Victor is getting to live."

While Billy prays in the hospital chapel, he bumps into Katherine; she tells him that being upset with Victor won't bring Colleen back to life. Afterwards, Billy tells Mac that he's discouraged about life and she tells him he should get a fresh start by leaving Jabot.

Later, Traci asks Billy to help plan Colleen's funeral. After the service, Billy tells Jack that he's planning to leave the company. "Jack is shocked," acknowledges Bergman. "After all his family has been through, he assumed that the Abbotts would want to stick together during this time."

Jack tries to change Billy's mind, but he ends up insulting him. Billy then tells Ashley about his plan. Will his sister offer him the support he so desperately needs?

Victor gets Colleen's heart!

The Newmans get some amazing news this week when Jack reveals that Traci has decided to donate Colleen's heart to Victor.

"Traci asks Jack to tell Victor. She can't face him," sets up Peter Bergman. "So Jack goes and delivers the message that Victor will get Colleen's heart. Jack has never had more difficulty getting words out of his mouth. He's not there as a cordial friend. he's not there as a peacemaker. He's there because he told his sister he would do this."

Before leaving Victor's hospital room, Jack offers him well wishes. "Jack decided that enough people have died, and for Colleen's sake, he hopes Victor lives," says Bergman. "Then he walks out of the room."

Outside the room, Jack tells the rest of the Newmans that Victor will be receiving Colleen's heart, and they're all grateful. "Jack's in pain and on his way back to Traci, who's looking at a girl who has a machine keeping her alive," explains Bergman. "Billy is there and devastated. He cannot believe they're doing this. Jack tries to tell him it wasn't their decision. It was Traci's, and they have to be there for her. It's her darkest moment. What are they going to do, argue with her?"

When Steve and Traci are called away to sign some papers, Jack says it's time for the Abbotts to start saying their goodbyes to Colleen. "Abby says a very heartfelt, sad goodbye," says Bergman. "Then Jack is left alone with his niece. He's sitting there thinking he's in part responsible for this. He didn't protect Colleen. He didn't look out for her. He didn't do what he was supposed to do. Somehow, she got caught in the crossfire of this god-awful thing he's had with Victor for too long. Because of Jack's feud with Victor, Patty was brought to town. If that had not happened, Colleen would be alive."

Later, a nurse comes in and takes Colleen to surgery. "Jack is sticking around in the hospital while this is going on," explains Bergman. "He doesn't want to be with anybody or around anybody. he happens to be there when Victor is wheeled out of the operating room. The doctor informs everyone that everything went well and Victor should be fine."

While Victor is wheeled back to his room, Jack is left standing in the hospital corridor. He thinks to himself, "Good for you Colleen. You're hanging in there. Your heart is still ticking." Says Bergman, "But Victor is a (fill in the blank) through and through

After weeks of keeping the truth from Phyllis about Sharon's baby, Nick finally comes clean.

As Nick feels over the death of his baby, Phyllis worries about his sudden anguish. "Nick can't possibly imagine that he's lost another child," sighs Joshua Morrow. "His heart is breaking. It's a really tough, bad situation."

When Phyllis tells Nick how concerned she is, Nick decided to confess the truth. "He's been planning to tell her the truth all along, but wanted to tell her in person."

Sympathetic, Phyllis tells Nick that they'll get through everything as a family. "Nick isn't surprised that she's being so supportive," says Morrow. "She has give him everything she can. But it makes everything better that she handles it so well."

Later, Nick tells Victoria the news. Sharon also informs Victor, Jack and Noah that she lost the baby, but decides not to tell her son the truth about the child's paternity. Jack tells Sharon that she needs to look after herself.

Ashley introduces Nick to his "sister," Faith, and allows him to hold her. "He has no sense that this baby is his," says Morrow. "He just feels at peace holding this new life. But he is taken aback by the fact that her name is Faith."

"I have a feeling this will go on for a while," winks Morrow. "Maria Arena Bell has put together an awesome story

A Closer Look -- Sharon

Sharon tries to come to terms with losing her baby girl this week, unaware that the infant was actually taken by Adam and given to Ashley. Sharon Case details the latest nightmare in her character's life.

WEEKLY: How do you deal with all this angst?

CASE: I'm used to it. I've been playing Sharon for 15 years. It's always one drama after the next. Once I leave work, I'm thinking, "I've got an appointment and I'm late. I've got to get dinner. I've got to tend to the dog." I completely change gears.

WEEKLY: Meanwhile, Sharon continues suffering. After she tells Jack and Noah she lost her baby, Jack reveals that Ashley named her child Faith. What's Sharon's reaction?

CASE: It reminds Sharon of her baby and makes her a little emotional. Here she thought she was going to have a baby named Faith. While it's sad enough that she doesn't, now somebody else does. It makes Sharon think about what Ashley has and what she lost.

WEEKLY: Jack tells Sharon that even though her baby is gone, she has to keep living. Does she take his advice to heart?

CASE: Sharon already made a decision before her baby was born and passed away that she was going to put her life back together, no matter what. She's trying tom ove through this and have a new beginning in her life.

WEEKLY: After Nick tells Phyllis he was the father of Sharon's baby, Phyllis goes to thank Sharon for sending Nick back to her and Summer. How does that go?

CASE: Sharon's alone in her hotel room mourning when Phyllis suddenly shows up. What Sharon really has on her mind is the loss she's going through, so Phyllis is kind of white noise. Sharon doesn't believe in Phyllis' apologies. She thinks it's rude she even showed up. Phyllis is the woman who stole Sharon's husband away after Cassie's death. She's the last person Sharon wants around now that another child has died.

WEEKLY: Later, Sharon runs into Adam at the hospital. What happens?

CASE: They have a brief conversation and Sharon is slightly emotional. She mentions going to locate her baby's ashes.

WEEKLY: Adam realizes there's a problem, because there aren't any ashes. He swipes some from a funeral home and has them delivered to Sharon. How does Sharon react when they arrive?

CASE: Sharon is so taken with having her child's remains that she doesn't think about who sent them or why. It's a poignant moment, but I wouldn't say she falls apart. She doesn't react with a bunch of tears, crying, screaming or breaking down. It's a surreal moment for her. It's the first time she's having a tangible experience with her daughter.

WEEKLY: Can Sharon move on from losing another child?

CASE: Sharon does feel she can do it. She decided to get her life together, turn her life around, while she was in the sanitarium.

WEEKLY: But is she really resigned to moving on without Nick?

CASE: Even though Nick is the love of Sharon's life and Sharon may be the love of Nick's life, if they don't end up being together because of the circumstances, that's tragic, but that's the way it is. Life has to go on.

WEEKLY: After playing Sharon the basket case for the last year, are you eager to play her more strong again?

CASE: Yeah. I'm ready. I like Sharon being strong. I like when she's emphatic about what she wants. They tend to like to write Sharon a little more victim-y at times. I'm constantly trying to do what I can to not have her be that way

My cable company changed and I no longer have DVR or Soapnet.
I guess I will "watch" from here for a now. Yesterday was my last show and I couln't finish it because it was that bad.
This is more interesting than actually watching.

Sharon scenes = :sad1::sad1:

This storyline = :sad2::sad2:

I wish I just taped it and watched something else so I could fast forward though the Ashley/Sharon scenes.

I think I hate the character of Adam more than I ever have hated a character in my life, along with this storyline.

I wish I knew how to write and comeplain. :sad2:
