When we signed up for one a couple years ago, we were only about 3 weeks out. The girl at the YES office emailed me our confirmation information, which we printed and then took to the gate for our tickets. She cautioned us that the class could get cancelled if there were not enough people signed up, but reassured us that if that was the case, we would still be able to use our tickets to get into the park because it would not be our fault that the class was cancelled. Thankfully, there were enough people for the class and we had no problems at all using the tickets. Make sure every adult in your party has their ID with them when you pick up the tickets the first day. I had forgotten I needed it and it was still in my wallet in the hotel safe. The people at the box office gave me a bit of a hard time about it, but eventually let us get my ticket anyway since my husband had his ID with him. So save some time and make sure you bring it with you!
