We are planning a trip in Sept. and just can't decide between Y/C, B/C and BW. I've read most of Joe Cool's Y/C-B/C question forum and they both sound wonderful. We are more attracted to BW's restaurants though. Please help us decide. It's just my husband and I. Are there any real differences? We love the decor of all three.

We are staying at the Beach Club this summer because of the pool and closeness to Epcot.

I am also planning an adult only trip in October and we are staying at the Boardwalk Inn at that time. I just think it looks quiet and romantic.

So my choice for adults only would be Boardwalk Inn

We've stayed at BW and absolutely love it! I think you should just look at pictures and see which "theme" that you like the best. BW, BC and YC are so close together you can just walk to the others restaurants. We stayed at BW but ate both at YC and BC. It's a very short walk. Have fun!

The BW seems to have the most adult ambience, and far fewer kids than the YC/BC in my experience.

The YC/BC have a "way cool" pool.

The three resorts are all within a few moments stroll of each other, so I wouldn't let the restaurants sway you. Base your decision on amenities such as room decor, pools, and overall atmosphere.

You won't go wrong at any of the EPCOT resorts!

If you plan on using the pool, SAB at the YC/BC is the best.

If the pool is not an issue, then I would recommend BWV. The studios at BWV are larger then the rooms at BWI or the YC/BC.

The BCV will be opening in July, so you could try there if you will be here there after July.

I wouldn't make a big deal about the restaurants, since at the YC/BC you are only about a 5 minute walk away from the BW.

Hi! I had the exact same decision to make as you!! My DH and I are going in Sept. and I narrowed the choices down to BC, YC and BWI. I ended up ruling the BC out fairly quickly once I found out that not all rooms have a full-size balcony. This is very very important to us and we plan to use it a lot. I ended up picking YC over BWI (and it was a very HARD decision) simply because of the view - the Boardwalk at night all lit up is INCREDIBLE!! The YC is directly across the water from the BW so I'm hoping to soak up that view every night!! From the BWI, your view would be more of the YC/BC area which, in my opinion, wasn't as spectacular. If you are reserving a standard view room, this may not even apply. All in all, you have to pick what's important to you. I sat down & thought about it and realized that a balcony & a view were my 2 most important wishes.....

Regarding the restaurants, I think it would be much better to eat dinner at the Boardwalk and then take a nice leisurely stroll around the lake to the YC, rather than go right up to your room (if you were staying right at BWI) - it's a way to work off some of that delicious food you were just eating :) Anyways, it's only a 5 minute walk to get from BWI to YC and vice versa.

Have fun deciding!! That's part of the fun and makes the time go by quicker :)

Thank you all for your input. A balcony will be very important to us. We really don't use the pools much, however the beach area at B/C & Y/C would be a great resting place mid day. With BW not having a beach, that might be the deciding factor. Thanks again.

The Yacht Club is extremely nice, but so is the Beach Club and the Boardwalk. Whatever one you choose will be a great experience!

I'm very pro-BWI these days. I love the quiet pool there. No matter where you go, you'll have a wonderful time! :)

Hi Carol --- since the balcony is very important to you, I'd definitely take YC over BC, simply because the YC guarantees a full balcony, and with the BC you take the risk of having a standing-room-only balcony.

We have toured the BW and stayed at both the YC and BC in the past. In my opinion the BC caters more to familles with younger children, while the YC has a more conservative atmosphere and is somewhat more relaxing because there are not as many kids. Because there are less children in the YC it is less noisy than the BC or BW (which has a fair amount of children also), the lobbies in all of the hotels are where you will notice the most children, the BC lobby is always packed with kids.

We love the BW but the noise at night can be a bit over whelming if you have a BW view. All the clubs and stuff. The BC and YC are also Fantastic. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them... Besides they are all close to one of my favorite places... No not Epcot... Beaches and Creams!!! :) What ever one you choose have a great trip.

My vote would be for YC because you will still be close to all the boardwalk's great restaurants and even though you say you do not use the pool much, Stormalong Bay is a pool like nothing you have ever used before. It has great secluded hot tubs, whirlpool sections, a sand bottom which is great on the feet, and it is truely beautiful. Plus it has a great pool bar! YC is also home to Yachtsman Steakhouse which is a very good restaurant you might want to try and right next door at BC is the Cape May Seafood Buffet which is also very good.

I have to agree with some other posters that recommended the YC, and I'd go further & tell you to definitely get the Waterview...

IMHO the BC lobby is definitely overrun with children in the lobby... also, when we stayed there I wasn't impressed with our balcony at all, I think we got one of the small ones...

On the contrary, it was SO peaceful walking through the YC lobby, so different than BC... It had a darker interior in the lobby, it seemed so elegant, but yet the rooms were just as light and airy as the BC... You'll be guaranteed the balcony at YC & you'll have use of the great pool!! If you have a waterview, your view is going to be awesome of the lake, overlooking the BW... for a couples only trip, this is your best bet!

I personally love the BW, but you are never guaranteed a Boardwalk view... I don't mind the standard views at BW, but if it was just my DH & I alone on a trip I'd definitely choose YC Waterview!!

You cannot make a mistake!!! These resorts are lovely and no matter which one you choose, you will have a great vacation.

I would choose Yacht Club - waterview room.

Have fun!

Go for the YC!

After watching the showon the Travel Channel ( actually the BC, with YC being mentioned as a neighboring resort ), I thought this would be my next trip!

The views from the room at night looked spectacular. SAB is great, so many restaurants in walking distance. YC justs looks a tad more serene to me, maybe less kids when it's just the two of you.

We stayed at the BC on our first trip to WDW in May 1999. It was a slow time, and we got an upgrade to a beautiful water view room right next the volleyball court. What a wonderful memory. The BC is so beautiful and serene, and my favorite thing was being able to walk from Epcot after Illuminations to our room in less than five minutes! That's a real plus when you're tired!
