Xmas Weather.......

WE ARE COMING DOWN FROM CHICAGO DEC 20 FOR 6 DAYS TO CELEBRATE XMAS, SO ANY WEATHER IS GREAT COMPARED TO HERE!! BUT JUST CURIOUS.... WHAT WILL THE TEMPS AND RAIN BE LIKE???WE HAVE BEEN THERE DURING ALL OF THE SEASONS, EXCEPT FOR THE END OF DEC. . WE ARE STAYING AT ROYAL PACIFIC AND WOULD LOVE TO USE THOSE POOLS WITH THE 'BEACHY' AREA. ON THAT NOTE, IS THERE A LOT FOR A 3 YEAR OLD GIRL AT THE HOTEL??THANKS!!WE ARE GETTING REALLY EXCITED.....

My first year in florida was 1989 and on 12/25 the high for the day was 19 degrees. to cold for swimming even by Chicago standards. Other years it has been in the 80's and lows in the 50's in the evenings.

i hope it is in the 80's for you and you can go back to the frozen north sporting a tan.

plan for low 50's in the am and 70's to 80's in the afternoon with it feeling cooler when the sun goes down in the evening. still better than the windy city

We visit Orlando every December. We always pack for:

Winter
Spring
Summer
Fall

In other words, be prepared. I even pack gloves and long underwear (they don't take up that much room, and they keep me nice and warm for the occasional cold day/night.

We went down in December once, it was around high of 60 low of 50. But the wind made it feel a little colder. We usually were fine in jeans and a sweatshirt. No hats or gloves were needed at all, but who knows in Florida.

We have been there twice in December (within last couple of years) and it was in the upper 70's to mid 80's both times. The kids did swim everynight we got back to the hotel. It started to get cold for them around 9:00-9:30p.m. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather, until now that is, because we will also be there in Dec 9-14. So here's wishing all of December be beautiful.
