Hi,

Just wondering when the Xmas celebrations start at WDW typically?
From what I can see, I think it's mid Nov?

What about Hallowe'en? From and to?

Do they celebrate on 5th Nov for fireworks night or is that just a UK thing?

Just trying to plan exactly when to go (not until 2013 though sadly).

Thanks

The christmas parties start at the beginning of November, and the decorations go up around then too I believe.

Halloween parties are from the end of Sept onwards.

I can't imagine they do anything for Nov 5th. Maybe in UK EPCOT? But I've never heard it mentioned.

Halloween parties run mid September to 1st November on select nights of the week.

Xmas parties start around 2nd week of November and run to around 18th December.

Nothing for 5th November - UK only as it to do with Guy Fawkes blowing up Parliament!

They have special fireworks for 4th July though.

The MK is decorated for Halloween because of the parties. This year there are 23 parties starting on Sept 13 through Nov. 1.

Immediately after the Nov 1 party the Halloween decorations are taken down and Christmas decorations go up in the MK. Except for the big tree everything is in place for the first Christmas party which will be on Nov. 8 this year. The big tree isn't put up until after the filming of the Christmas parade which usually occurs the first weekend in December.

Holiday decorations are put up and activities in the other parks begin gradually throughout November. Osborne Lights at DHS begin twinkling in mid November. Over at Epcot the holiday season doesn't officially begin until the day after Thanksgiving (the 4th Thursday of the month) when the Candlelight Processional performances begin.

Every resort has a tree and varying degrees of decorations. The most elaborate are at the deluxe resorts and many people tour the different resorts to see the gingerbread creations and beautiful trees. By Thanksgiving every resort is fully decorated.

If you go to the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board there will be many threads about the Halloween and Christmas parties and other activities especially as it gets closer to Autumn and Winter, although there are quite a few already.

Likewise, information about the resorts during the holidays can be found on the Resorts board.

A couple of years ago we went to the first Xmas party which was about November 10th. The resorts had also begun decorating around that time, but it was hit and miss as to which ones had decorations up.
