Xmas Day Parade Taping Date?!?

We will be @ SSR from 12/3 - 12/8 and was wondering if that week is the week they tape the xmas day parade at MK? I believe last year I read on here that it was 12/5 but I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone gone to this? I know it must be packed, but it would be so much fun to watch it on xmas day knowing we were there on that day! Thanks for any insight.

I heard last year it was taped on 12/2-3, which is the first Friday and Saturday in December. Following that logic, it would be 12/1-2 this year.

I was there for the Friday, Dec 2, taping which was Vanessa Williams and other singers which names I can't think of at the moment. It was on the castle stage.

The parade itself usually the first Saturday of December with some other tappings happening the days before or after that day. Regis and Kelly are usually there the first Saturday of December; although once because of snow, they were there on a Sunday and we got to see them.

There were people that were up front for the stage show who were picked and got to enter the park for free and had to stay up front for a few hours. They signed up for it and were picked.

I was just walking by when Vanessa came on stage and I made almost to the front. People I guess got sick of standing there all day but there were those ones who came specifically for the tapping wearing Santa hats and red sweatshirts but there was room for me to get pretty close. I saw her sing her song 3 times.

slightly OT, but can you buy a DVD of the parade in the park? Our local TV affiliate always seems to prefer to broadcast a game rather than the parade.
