I see the guy at the piano pick up the napkin and tip, read the request and hang his head down in defeat! He looked up at us and shook his head with a mixture of pity and resignation. “What did you request!” Dear David would not tell me. When it was our guy's turn at the mic, he explained/apologized that this request came with a fast pass so he had to do it. And he started hammering out the opening notes to …. Poison’s Talk Dirty To Me. :rotfl2: And as the song progressed, sweet & shy Dave proceeded to belt out the song from his seat. In fact, it was only the pianist and him singing the song. The other patrons in the bar chose this moment to go to the bathroom, order drinks, fill up their popcorn baskets.

I remember that a bit differently. I believe the guy chuckled when he read my request. The head hanging in defeat, and the explanations/apologies came after he played the song. And I have to give him credit, he did do a really good job on that song. And there was a good crowd response when he announced he'd be playing a song by Poison, but it fizzled out during the first verse. I don't know if they were expecting "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" or what. Sure, it's easy to blame the NyQuil and beer, but the truth is I wanted to hear them play that song. They don't say, "pretend you're a DJ and pick a song everyone will like", they say "request your favorite song". It's not my favorite song, but I do like it. Although I was having fun, I was growing tired of all the 70's classic rock that had been played all night. I wanted to request something different, totally unexpected, and yes, a little bit goofy.:joker: Plus, I figured with Bret Michaels' renewed popularity with his Rock of Love show, a Poison song would be well recieved. Besides, Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille, who wrote Talk Dirty to Me, got his start playing at Disneyland. :rockband: Okay, I just made that up. But he has to be a distant relative of Cruella De Vil! See the resemblance.

I suppose next time I'll have to pick a song with a more obvious Disney connection. Maybe something by the band Cinderella! :p

I would have sung with you, Dave - :thumbsup2

It's one of those places that I sometimes forget. Or that I don't always take the time to work into our trip plans but every time we go I have a great time. Do try to go!

Oh don't worry... I think Orlando may have experienced a cheesecake shortage after I left!

(And Dave- if you want to do some more singing, call Mario. I hear he wants to start a band...) Sorry...I couldn't resist a private joke!

lol@cheesecake shortage. That's great!
What a nice sounding day. Leisure and relaxation!! Too bad you had rain while you waited for fantasmic, but maybe it kept the crowds down somewhat for you!! Liberty Tree tavern sounded good!!
Looking forward to your next installment!!

That wait in the rain for Fantasmic is no fun at all. It rained the day we went to see Fantasmic back in October too. I was so afraid that after all that waiting it was going to get cancelled. So glad you got to enjoy it.

And you know, it doesn't matter if I'm at Disneyland or WDW, I have sat in the rain too many times to count, only to have Fantasmic canceled at the last minute! For Illuminations- I usually pick the night that it gets cancelled due to high winds!

Woo hoo! I'm so glad that dinner was so good and went so well! That's awesome!
Your dinner sounds so so so so yummy!! Kudos to Dave! I'm glad that something he was looking forward to went so well!
What is the dress code, if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks and looking forward to your next installment...and no...I didn't expect it that fast...lol.

That Boo-to-You song gets stuck in my head for hours… I love that the villains are in the parade! In fact this parade is packed with characters.

haha, this made me laugh...my dad, sister, and I went to MNSSHP in October of 2006 and loved it. I definitely remember having that song stuck in my head forever (actually, I think we all did)! LOL.

Anyways...great report. Love the videos! I could ride Soarin' over and over too!

What is the dress code, if you don't mind me asking?

Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, shirts with a collar for men. Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts for women. No tank tops, swimwear, cut offs, or torn clothing of any kind. I think they've recently begun relaxing the dress code a bit, and now allow t-shirts.

Woo hoo!! What a great way to end your trip! I love your mickey plate and cup. They are so cute and a reminder of your trip every time you use them. I would say they were well worth fitting in your luggage!
I enjoyed your trip report so much and will look forward to hearing about your future trips to the world.
