Posted this on the community board, but you all feel like family to me, so wanted to post it here too. Frankly, if the surgery had been postponed, I was planning to call member services to see if I could get a room for Thurs, Fri and Sat nights and was going to "run away" for a few days by myself -- the stress has been unbearable and would have loved an excuse to run away. Alas, I will be under bright lights tomorrow instead of in the bright sun. . .
I don't usually ask, but . . .

Found out for sure yesterday afternoon that I will have heart surgery tomorrow. My family can use all the prayers you can spare. I have had this electrical "short circuit" in my heart for 9 years and 11 months and this is the fourth attempt at a cure, though much more extensive surgery this time. Poor DH sat in the surgical waiting room for 7 1/2 hours last year during the last attempt and then 6 hours in the recovery room -- he is truly an amazing person. DD16 asked this morning if I am scared or excited (at the possibility of a cure) -- unfortunately, the "scared" is still winning (though I didn't tell her that). DS11 just keeps looking at me with this worried look on his face and I can all but hear him praying. No choice at this point since no medication has worked and near blackouts are all too frequent with BP of about 90 over 50 and "resting" heart rate over 150 and often 185.
Anyway, sorry so long. Haven't told anyone in my family (Dad is in the late stages of cancer and they all have so much to worry about), so if I could impose on you (you seem like family, without all the "drama" ) for prayers, we would really appreciate it. The recovery should be very quick and I hope to check in here this weekend.
Frankly, as of yesterday, I was hoping the surgery would be re-scheduled, and I would have "run away" for a spur of the moment trip to WDW to be in my happy place. Will have to backburner that for now.
God bless, everyone, and thank you.

Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for all your prayers. They certainly went from your hearts to God's ears and my experience was well and truly blessed.
I had my heart surgery Thursday and it appears to have been a huge success. For the first time in 10 years and after 3 failed surgeries, I have a normal heart rhythm! The recovery is a little rough right now but I should be better than my "normal" in a few days. Came out of the general anesthesia with a killer migraine and the groin incisions (they ended up having to go in in three places, including the femoral artery) and multiple IV spots hurt, also some nerve pain from being on the operating table 8 hours. My throat is really painful from being intubated, but that should be better in a couple days too. Just glad I was able to come home yesterday, though I've barely been out of bed and can't keep any food down yet. Really looking forward to feeling better. It had gotten to the point where I was in continuous ventricular tacchychardia with a "resting" heart rate around 150 and blood pressure around 90 over 60. Hoping to feel well enough to go to work Monday or Tuesday
I can't begin to tell you how much I have thought of all of you with gratitude for your prayers and kindness and compassion, over the past several days. I can't put into words what it means to me to have people who don't even know me, who could be so caught up in their own lives, their own friends, and their own worries, yet take the time to say a prayer for me or to express their well wishes here. Thank you, friends
