Anyone stayed here, opinions??? My parents booked this for us for our week at disneyworld but I am afraid it is far and not convenient. I really prefer to stay onsite, but since it is 3 families I can't really choose on my own. Will it be nice?

We haven't stayed there yet (actually thinking about going this summer), but it looks very nice. Reunion is a large, diverse resort with many kinds of accommodations, including private homes, hotels, condos, and timeshare condos.

The Wyndham timeshare units are all 3 bedroom (K, K, 2 doubles) - 3 bath. Those units are 1530 square feet and have a full, well-appointed kitchen.

There is golf at Reunion and also a large waterpark. Depending on where you are staying and how you booked, you may or may not have access to the waterpark. If your parents booked with Wyndham points, you should have full waterpark access for the entire length of your stay.

According to Google Maps, Wyndham Reunion to MK is +/- 20 minutes by car. To put that in perspective, if you're staying at Disney's OKW or SSR, the drive time is about 10 minutes -- longer if you're staying at one of the value resorts. The other theme parks and Disney waterparks are closer. Downtown Celebration (site of numerous nice restaurants) is a little less than 20 minutes away.

It doesn't look bad. You would probably wait for a Disney bus longer than it will take to drive there from Reunion. I've never heard a bad thing about Reunion to be honest and Wyndham resorts are always nice. I would make sure your family has your own car. Makes it all less stressful and you can get away from each other.

We spent 3weeks in Reunion. It was great. We were not at the Wyndham resort but in a home. Use Old Lake Wilson Rd. It was much easier than dealing with I 4 traffic.

Thanks, good to know. It was through a Wyndham time share. The water park sounds great, so hopefully it is included. I will relax and stop worrying about accommodations.

I'm pretty sure the waterpark is included. When people stay in private home rentals, I think they either get no waterpark, or one day, or the option of purchasing access to the waterpark. But with the Wyndham timeshare, our owner page says it's included.

Incidentally, you can check Google Images for views of both the resort and waterpark.

I double-checked with Wyndham for you because the member website was not clear. If you're staying on Wyndham points (which you are), you will get up to 8 water park passes per unit for the entire length of stay.

I assume those are assigned to actual names of registered guests, not just handed out 8 per villa -- so you would get up to 8 per unit, not an automatic 8. In the real world, it probably depends on the person who checks you in.

The occupancy limit is actually 10 (with two sleeping on the sofa-bed), so if you need additional water park passes, you can purchase those for $30 each. Not sure of the $30 pass duration, but I suspect it's only for one day.

I have stayed there twice with an RCI trade. We stayed in the Wyndham timeshare area. The rooms are wonderful, the waterparks were included. In Feb 2016 we were there for a 2 week stay. Housekeepers came in which is not common or expected with a timeshare stay. There was money missing from 2 dressers and the kitchen countertop. When we contacted management we were told that perhaps it was thought of as a tip. Now I am not against tipping, but I consider a tip something that I choose to leave for someone not money that is left around in 3 separate places when we didn't expect anyone to come in. Management was contacted, security came, incredibly poor follow through. Now, it was only about $34 but it was not left as a "tip." We left messages many times on voicemail very frustrating:headache::headache:

We love Reunion! We stayed once over memorial day week direct through the resorts because a friend of ours "won" a trip and couldn't go. We paid extra to upgrade the unit and stay longer and LOVED it. I always check the prices there when we are planning a trip. I was just looking at it to compliment our stay in May. We did a few character breakfasts at Disney and while it was not as convenient as staying on property - we did not feel it disrupted or inconvenienced us at all. And we are used to staying on-site. The waterpark was awesome!!! The resort has a rooftop restaurant (a little on the pricier side - but great service and tasty) and you can see the Disney fireworks in the distance.

They have this great waterscapy playground thing at the waterpark for children too. We only stayed the once but we still talk about going back. You will have a blast.

We are booked to go this summer for our first time at Reunion... Really looking forward to it! Rented from an owner and we'll get access to four waterpark days during our 1 1/2 week stay, which seems like it'd be plenty.

We have stayed on and off site lots and always have our car or a rental, so transportation is not an issue. Last visit we stayed at Windsor Palms / Windsor Hills and mapped out, Reunion looks a bit more direct and almost an identical drive time (or better) to parks.

It took us a while to warm up to the idea of off site stays, but now with teens / tweens we do need and enjoy the extra space at same expense as a value / moderate per night. We were so worried about it taking away from the experience, but the kiddos actually enjoy it MORE from the relaxation perspective. Me on the other hand, I do love my WL :), so would like to try for a split stay next time.

I would love to read a trip report on this resort as well , so hopefully someone will come along and help with this.
We have a ressie for 7 nights in Sept. and I will do a comparison of orange lake , reunion, and bonnet creek.

I am a little nervous about the Reunion stay because I have heard little blips here and there that were not good things.
Beautiful resort , everyone has said that , but the room issues have me a wee bit concerned.

We love bonnet creek and orange lake was ok too.
Orange lake was just way to busy for us. Nice resort but way to busy.
We are going to try Vistana in October I think. Maybe do a 4 resort comparison.

A comparison would be great! This is our first off site stay so slightly nervous but excited for all the space. What kind of room issues have you heard about?

You will love the freedom of Staying Off Site.

Plenty of different places to eat ..... as you drive the few miles back from Disney .

You can see the fireworks from the hotel.

There are 2 entrances to the Reunion resort. When we went a couple years ago and stayed in one of the Wyndham exchanges we found the rear entrance to be easier/closer. You might to check Google earth.

Really??? Or only at certain times? I would have guessed I4 would be quicker almost always.

Head for Animal Kingdom .. Take Left Turn onto Sherberth Road Cross over Hwy 192 & up Old Lake

Wison Rd . about 15 min Drive

Right, I can see that on the map. But aren't there a ton of lights on that road?
