Hi - My husband and I and our two kids, dd 10; ds 4, recently (not so recently) stayed there on May 11-15, 2003. We loved it. I got a great rate from hotelkingdom.com for 89.90 a night plus tax. I got that information from this DIS board. I also gleaned from this board suggestions for a room location - I called after my reservation was confirmed and I joined their Wyndham By Request Program, building 10, 3rd floor in the corner. They couldn't guarantee that room but when we checked in - that is what we got! It was a beautiful room overlooking the golf course and a couple of waterfalls. The screened in porch was great. It also gave us a view of the mini golf area and the children's play area where we could watch our kids playing on the swings while they were waiting for us to come down to leave for the parks, etc. (They were only alone for 5-10 min!).
The room was a two bedroom with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer (the stack on top of each other kind) hidden away in a closet. The kids slept in one room that had 2 queen size beds and their own bathroom off that room - it even had its own door, so it was like their own apartment!
Our bedroom was off the living room (which had a 52" TV) had a slider to go out to the screened balcony. There also was a double closet with a safe located in the bedroom and lots of mirrors. There was also a TV in this room. Our bathroom was located inside the bedroom, it had a door. The bathroom had double sinks on the vanity with plenty of room to put your products. There was a stand alone shower with glass doors and a huge jacuzzi tub. We were all very happy with the accommodations.
We have a timeshare at Orange Lake (owner) and it was about a 10 min. ride to this timeshare (we stayed an extra week ; ). Right off of 192. It's a quick ride to the parks.
By joining their Wyndham By Request Program (it's free) - we received upon check in - 2 2 liter bottles of soda (your choice, pepsi, sierra mist and something else), popcorn for the microwave and 4 bottles of water. In the room was a bottle of Merlot (a small bottle), some cheese and crackers.
The pool was a quick drive or walk across the street and wasn't crowded (2 small pools) with lots of lounge chairs. There was a kiddie pool there with a mushroom thingy in the middle. They also had a small snack bar that served burgers, chicken sandwiches, hotdogs and a tiki bar that served frozen drinks and beers. The prices weren't that bad. If I remember correctly, they did not supply towels so you should brings some from your room.
There is another pool located a couple of buildings away - you'll need to drive there - I didn't go to that one, but noticed that one of those mushrooms things there too -
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Have a great time!
