Wyndham Palms Resort & Country Club

I saw a previous post with some discrepancy re: Wyndham Palms and Windsor Palms. I am still not sure these are one and the same. Nevertheless, I made reservations for a 2 BR Villa at Wyndham Palms Resort & Country Club at 7900 Palms Parkway off Old Wilson Rd. I believe this may be the same as "The Palms - a Tempus resort". Has anyone stayed at this resort and can you comment on it? I got a rate of $86/nt for a 2BR 4/12 - 4/18, our spring break, thru hotelkingdom.com. Given that I could barely locate a hotel room for this price, it seems like a good deal. Anyone have any info to share? Thanks for your input.

I did look at their website. It's a timeshare, so there is more consistency in the units than there will be at Windsor Palms, which are individually owned. It also looks like they have more upscale furnishings than most of the Windsor Palms units.

I hope someone can tell us! I'd like to know too

Hi, I made reservations for christmas, have'nt heard back from hotel kingdom yet, but got the rate of 86.00 a night for the 2 bed. I thought the same thing, you can't even find a decent hotel room for that price! I would also appreciate any info from anyone who has stayed here!! Thanks much!............goof

We stayed here last September. My b-i-l swapped his time share in another FL location for one week in a 2 BR. It was nice. The master bedroom is VERY nice, huge, with a king size bed and bathroom entry right inside the room! The other bd was a typical bd with two twin beds. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washer and dryer and was fully equipped. We only used the kitchen for breakfast...spent the entire day at the parks. The swimming pools are ok, but there were none close to our unit. We never used it, but if we did we would have had to drive over to it. Not a plus.
From these boards we learned of a back way into WDW. There's a side road that leads onto Disney property very close to AK. Once we found it, it was much easier to drive.
The part most annoying was the mandatory sales pitch. True, they gave us a free breakfast (nothing special) but it took up much more time than they originally told us. And this was after we assured them we were NOT interested in buying and that they'd be wasting their time trying to influence us to sign on the dotted line.
Would I stay here again? No.

ncbyrne...thanks for your comments....if this was a timeshare trade, why did you have to attend a sales pitch? We trade our timeshare all the time & are never required to attend one....

I got the newsletter from Hotelkingdom about this resort and it said (Non-timeshare) from 64.90a night.

for the 2 bedroom unit it is 60/night and the one bedroom for 35/ a night, these are timeshares.

I was just on hotelkingdom yesterday too and this place looked great especially for only 86 a night for a 2 bed! We're tempted, but not ready to commit yet. I have until July, so I have a little time. I hope someone else who's been can give a review. I really don't want to do the timeshare pitch!
