Just got back from disney and we took a look at the Wyndham Palace resort & spa. It looked really nice. Does anyone have any info. on this resort. Prices, discounts. rooms, balcony's,etc. THanks in advance.

I stayed there in May of 2000 and enjoyed it very much. The close proximity to DD was great! The room was nice, comfortable and clean. We had a balcony overlooking the little pond in back of the hotel. I liked the pool area and also liked that there was a playground for my son. We ate at one of the nicer restaurants there, I can't remember the name and we had a very good meal.

I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed there in December and just fell in love with the place. :)

I was able to get a rate of 59.00 a night on a deluxe room, non-smoking, King Bed with a balcony. The rooms are very spacious and extremely clean. If I have time today I will post some pictures of the room I had.

I was going to stay there again next month with a rate of 89.00 a night but then I saw the HRP rate was almost 40.00 dollars less so I decided to check it out instead.

If you go to www.wyndham.com and join their By Request club (it's free) they will send you emails whenever they put out special rates. Also if you ever stay there they will put snacks and stuff in your room for you, all you have to do is fill out the little By Request preference form on the site. I thought that was a nice little touch.

What is HRP and how did you find the $89 rate or lower. Any help is appreciated.

we just stayed there in April and were very very disappointed. Maybe if it was somewhere else it would have been fine, but the service was certainly not on par with Disney.

I am sitting in the Wyndam right now. The room has a balcony as have all the rooms I have had here. This one overlooks the pool, but I have some in the past that you could see the Pleasure Island Fireworks from.

The pool is very nice and my room looks like it was redone not too long ago (I am in the older section of the the hotel). The hall decor is a little dated!

All in all I enjoy the Wyndam. Espcecially as a Priceline or Hotwire bid. (This was $69 on Hotwire, I struck out up to $65 on Priceline!)

HRP = Hotel Royal Plaza.
Check the mousesavers website for specials on HRP.

The Wyndham Palace is awesome if you get it for a good price. Be prepared for the valet parking charges. I think I paid somewhere between $10 - $14 a day back in December.

Hello<

We Stayed at the Wyndham Palace in May 2003. Our Family thought it was great !! We got it for $69.00 /night on priceline. The staff was very polite, the room was very clean and typical in size for most 3-4 star hotels. The parking was a bit inconvenient as we chose not to valet, but my DH would drop me and the kids at the door and go park. Even though we did not valet we still got the royal treatment. The valets would open our doors and give the kids stickers !!!! The pool was nice too!!!!
