WWYD?

I don't like any of your choices either. You're young, single, and no kids so I would do something on another cruise line that you haven't done before. Europe, South America, Asia etc. The possibilities are endless if you're not tied to DCL. Personally I would love to see the Fjords in Chile. Good luck.

I find none of the choices very exciting (with the background you gave, otherwise the Wonder in Alaska would be my pick) and all of them are really pricey. So, for me it would not be that important to have a cruise right over my birthday. I would pick something close, but more interesting to me. What about a Magic cruise once she is down in the Med later in the summer?

The only one I'm interested in is even more than the Norway one. :/

If I was young, single and no kids I would do one of the Tauck Culturious tours. Small groups with unique activities in the U.S. and Europe. Especially since you've done a lot of Disney already.

That's not good... Sorry!!

I guess if you want your special trip to be a cruise, you need to try another cruise line... Personally, my first choice would be one of the new Princess ships (Regal and Royal), they look classy to me.

I'm not positive I want it to be a cruise...but the problem is that most of the places I want to go have rainy season in the summer, so... I don't know.

I also said DCL isn't my only option. I was looking at the options DCL has in addition to some others. Royal has a cruise I really like the look of, but I don't want to commit to that until after Alaska this summer when I see how I like them.

What a shame that your birthday is during the summer!! ;) My birthday is in November and I guess that is a better season for your dream vacation destinations! :goodvibes

Are deposits on Royal refundable? If so, why not put down a deposit for that cruise and keep your eyes open for other ideas that might come up! It is still quite a bit away!

No "Disney" ideas but ....
River Cruise in Europe - lots of Lines to choose from: Viking, Grand Circle (Jopsep a Head waiter on the Wonder Highly Recommends them), Avalon, Tauck ...
Rick Steves Tours in Europe

Decisions Decisions.

Or for the "Going For the Gusto" (and needing enough time)
Start in Hong Kong and do a few days @ Disneyland
then off to "Tokyo" for Disneyland and Disney Sea there
Hop a Flight to LA and the Disneyland Resort (Walt Disney's Disneyland and DCA)
Then another flight to Orlando for WDW
and Off to Paris for Disneyland Paris

Budget and vacation time buster!!!!

Looks like it...

BUT I just found one I'm in love with on Princess - the Dawn Princess. It'll be a couple of weeks before I can do anything, but I've definitely bookmarked it!!

The Wonder to Alaska. The Dream B2B will be sad times if you have done the Fantasy.

I'm not THAT young. :)

It leaves from Singapore and visits Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Sinahoukville, Cambodia; Bangkok, Thailand; Ko Samui, Thailand; Bali, Indonesia; and ends in Freemantle, Australia. :)

All I can say is WOW!

I would go with the 7 night on the Fantasy. I would look for different excursions to make sure I have a different experience. However, if you are truly excited about CC on your birthday, then go with the B2B.

Well, I found my one glitch... (Besides the fact that airfare would be crazy to Singapore and from Australia.) The cat. I don't know that the sitter watches them for longer than 2 weeks, and I'm pretty sure a boarding place wouldn't - unless it was a home board, and that can be expensive. :(

BUT... I'm thinking that if I'm taking February for Ko Chang or Ko Phi Phi, maybe I'll do a week-10 days at Ko Samui which is supposed to be less affected by the rainy season. :)

Check with vet clinics. Many will board for longer than 2 weeks. I know our vet has boarded cats for a month or more at a stretch.

Check with other cat sitters. For the past 2 summers we've spent about 4 weeks in Europe and our cat sitter watched out 3 cats for for the whole time. She usually comes in twice a day. We found her through our vet. There is no way we could have boarded our cats, they freak out going to the vet.
