Ok I am going to try to make this as short as possible. I made 2 calls yesterday to inquire about making some changes to my reservation. My original reservation was for 5 nights, upgraded dining, water parks option, etc.. I need to trim my vacation and take off a couple of the extras to save money and avoid us from cancelling all together. So I made the first call and just removed my waterparks option and the upgraded dining which took off about $550 off my balance. I hope I can eventually add back the upgraded dining before my trip arrives in August; I am just trying to get this thing paid off.
So I got off the phone and did some research on airfare. I decided to call back which was about an hour later to inquire about coming in one day later due to airfare prices and just reduce my package from 5 nights to 4 nights. I hesitated to call because I didn't want to mess up anything as far as processing all the changes. Well I ended up getting the confirmation email right before I called the second time so I figured that everything was updated and I was ok to call back and request another change. I called the second time I first asked him about the details of my reservation and he had all the updated info-no waterparks or upgraded dining. So then I asked him about arriving one day later and reducing my package to 4 nights. He quoted me the price and after considering I went for it.
Well this morning I get another confirmation email and it still has my original dates but for the price of the 4 night package. Do I call back in to just verify my reservation details on their system to see if there is just an error with the email? Do I tell them that this is the wrong price? What should I do? One thing I have to book airfare soon and certainly need to make sure I book for the correct dates. Another thing I have considered if this is just an error on their part and I do call back later to add back my upgraded dining(hope to) that it will correct then. So might as well be honest now and not get unexpected increase if I call back to make that dining change. But if I decide to not make any more changes I don't see how they can go back on what they sent me in print by email even if it is not correct. What do you think?
