Ok I am going to try to make this as short as possible. I made 2 calls yesterday to inquire about making some changes to my reservation. My original reservation was for 5 nights, upgraded dining, water parks option, etc.. I need to trim my vacation and take off a couple of the extras to save money and avoid us from cancelling all together. So I made the first call and just removed my waterparks option and the upgraded dining which took off about $550 off my balance. I hope I can eventually add back the upgraded dining before my trip arrives in August; I am just trying to get this thing paid off.
So I got off the phone and did some research on airfare. I decided to call back which was about an hour later to inquire about coming in one day later due to airfare prices and just reduce my package from 5 nights to 4 nights. I hesitated to call because I didn't want to mess up anything as far as processing all the changes. Well I ended up getting the confirmation email right before I called the second time so I figured that everything was updated and I was ok to call back and request another change. I called the second time I first asked him about the details of my reservation and he had all the updated info-no waterparks or upgraded dining. So then I asked him about arriving one day later and reducing my package to 4 nights. He quoted me the price and after considering I went for it.
Well this morning I get another confirmation email and it still has my original dates but for the price of the 4 night package. Do I call back in to just verify my reservation details on their system to see if there is just an error with the email? Do I tell them that this is the wrong price? What should I do? One thing I have to book airfare soon and certainly need to make sure I book for the correct dates. Another thing I have considered if this is just an error on their part and I do call back later to add back my upgraded dining(hope to) that it will correct then. So might as well be honest now and not get unexpected increase if I call back to make that dining change. But if I decide to not make any more changes I don't see how they can go back on what they sent me in print by email even if it is not correct. What do you think?

Every time I get a confirmation email from Disney, it has the wrong dates. When I call, they usually have the correct information. I would call and confirm the dates just to be sure, and you can even request a new email confirmation with the correct dates. I wouldnt try to beat the system...

I would call and check, especially since you're concerned about pricing and trying to lower the cost. I would hate for you to have a sudden surprise of additional cost come up. It would be better to get it ironed out now before you schedule flights. Who knows...maybe some pixie dust will be sprinkled your way and they'll keep the price as they have it now. If not, then at least you'll know ahead of time and can plan accordingly. More likely than not, it's just a glitch with the email; we've had mistakes on email before but they've had it correct in their system. As far as holding Disney to the information they sent by email, I personally wouldn't try to do that. I can see both sides of the situation, but ultimately you know there is an error. Since that's the case, I wouldn't try to hold them to something that you know is only due to an error. Hopefully, it will all work out that you can spend that extra day there or add your upgraded dining back. Good luck!

I would go to the website and pull up your reservation to see what dates & price it shows. My guess is that your reservation is correct with 4 nights for the 4 night price, with there just being a fluke with the email. I had that happen to me once or twice where the email was wrong, but my reservation was what it was supposed to be. If the website is wrong too, I would call and verify. I also wanted to mention that if you do decide to upgrade your dining, that has to be done at least 3 days prior to arrival.

I agree with the PPs -- call them and verify what it is you have right now. I just received a paper confirmation for our upcoming trip with the wrong check out date on it -- but when I called they had the right # of days in the system.

I am going to look online and see what it says. I hope no one thinks I am a bad person for asking this, I was just surprised. And yes the thought crossed my mind, "well I don't have to say anything". But yeah you are right, I would hate for it to bite me in the butt when I was trying to check in or something. I didn't realize that errors in the emails were so common. I see that now because of your responses. I will let you know what I find out...

This was new to me. I have made other changes earlier when I originally booked my reservation and all the emails have had the correct info. This was the first time that it didn't have the correct info.
