Wwyd. Split stay on and offsite

So my dh has agreed to stay at ak villas next year!! Yeah!!
now for the downside...he wants to do a split stay between akv and bonnet creek. He loves bc as we have stayed there twice before.

Would this work with a 3 night stay at akv and 7 nights
at BC?? or should I just do one place??

I love AKL, so if you can swing it, then I'd try to stay there for the whole trip. But if your DH is adament, then how about a 50/50 split instead?

It depends. If staying in one place meant staying offsite the whole time, I'd go with the split; otherwise, I'd do AKV the whole time. If you do decide to do 3 nights at AKV, I agree with the pp that I would do AKV last.

Our first Disney trip was offsite and once we stayed onsite, we never stayed offsite again. With that said, I would just want to end my trip on Disney property and AKV/AKL is a beautiful resort and would be a great place to end a trip, IMO .

Because many people feel that it is better than another place.

I feel the opposite, I didn't much appreciate our AKL stay (were in in a villa in Jambo, so I can't really say AKV b/c I wasn't at Kidani), didn't appreciate the "service" we received or the room or much of anything there *except* for my son's love for the animals outside our balcony.


But since we do split stays exclusively (it seems), I know that you don't always know what place you'll love. So if AKV doesn't work out for you, just know you might love it more and there might be sad feelings, and know you'll get to work through them. Very first time we stayed at DisneyLAND, we did an onsite hotel first and didn't have a good experience for a few reasons (some their fault, many were mine), and the second part of our trip was at the local Howard Johnson hotel, which we LOVED. After a couple more visits to each, I'd never rank them in that order. But we didn't expect to like HoJo more than PPH on that trip, so sometimes you shock even yourself.
