WWYD Mailbox

Our mailbox is homemade by the previous owners. It is ours and the people across the street a double mailbox. The mailbox is infront of our house and has had its better days. Everyone else on the street has their own and we want to replace it because it is becoming an eyesore for us. It needs more then just a coat of paint. The people across the street are not that social. Actually we are the only ones ever out and all the kids are at our house but that is another thread. How would you go about telling them you want remove the mailbox that is there?

I would just tell them... I don't think there is a need to sugarcoat it

I would just walk over to their house and inform them that you intend on replacing the mailbox.

Do you have to share a mailbox or could you go to the post office and see if you could get one for just your mail?

I would just go out late at night and smash them then blame it on kids .

But I would just let them know you want to replace them as they are looking bad. If they are on your property then it should not be a problem .

Thanks, I guess I just feel bad. We don't have to share but it does have to be on my side. All the other houses have 2 seperate mail boxes.
