Lately I have been tracking my ideal flight combos through Google Flights watching the price increases and drops. For us in November, there have been a few less than $400 for a short period and they have all jumped to $500+ over time (it shows graphically the price of each round trip pair saved over time).
My 2 cents is watch and pick a time/price you'd be comfortable with and if you see a sudden drop, it may be short lived so know what you'd be comfortable paying. Flight pricing is like a game of chicken - wait and you may get a better deal (but one needs to watch the prices diligently or have alerts set-up wherever tracking) and if waiting, you need to accept you could pay more (and a lot more) if waiting too late during a busy travel period. If you are looking to travel during a busy week or period (i.e coming back over the Labour Day weekend) deals and price drops will be harder to come by. Travelling after the Labour Day weekend in September you will have a better chance of watching for a deal to appear.
