I'm thinking of rearranging my dining reservations for end of August. I have an AP so I do have ability to hop. Right now I have a park res for HS and a lunch booked at the Roundup Rodeo. I have Epcot as my next morning res, but I planned a dinner at Rose and Crown. We have to do a split stay so I'm also moving resorts (Riviera to Poly).

Should I make Rose and Crown a different day or time? I have a whole week. Just wondering if it makes more sense to have a dining reservation closer to Poly as that's the new resort.

I'm confused and my husband is more confused when I try to explain this to get his opinion. 🤣

Tough call. I'd say dining at EPCOT isn't the most inconvenient thing I can think of from Poly, though! You could walk to T&TC, hop the monorail, and walk to R&C. It's clearly not as convenient as Skyliner to International Gateway, which brings you in right at R&C - but again, it's not terrible. In some ways, the weather could be a factor - bad weather potentially shutting down Skyliner for a bit - or rain making it not fun to walk through EP to get to the restaurant! Tough decision..... You'll certainly have some options along the monorail, but R&C could still work for you! Enjoy your dinner and your trip!

Is your R&C around the fireworks time? Could you move it earlier in the day? If you are using Disney to move your luggage to Poly, you could just Skyliner to Epcot do your Epcot stuff and take the monorail back to MK area and your new hotel.

Currently it's set for 6:15. We are using Disney to move over the luggage and not in a big rush if anything is delayed. Just need the room open to sleep in!

Was thinking it's nice to take advantage of the skyliner and easy access to 2 parks while at Riviera. I know weather could put a kink in all of this.

If you are going to spend the time before your ADR at Epcot, I wouldn’t bother changing to a different restaurant but if you’re going to Epcot then going to Poly before your ADR , then I would try for something closer to Poly instead of going to Poly from Epcot then back to Epcot then back to Poly.

I agree. Sometimes it's hard to play out the day so far in advance. Anything could happen. I imagine we would take a break in the afternoon given it's hot as h-e-double hockey sticks in August.
