WWYD ASM OR LM

We have a short 4 night stay coming up and I currently have a little mermaid room book but I can get AP discount for all star movies for much cheaper. We've never stayed at a value so I'm just curious of everyone's opinions. Keep AOA LM or switch to ASM? We usually open and close the parks but I'm wondering if ASM is a decent place to stay?

We have had multiple stays at all 3 of the All Stars and loved each stay. And if you're able to save some $$ then I feel even better recommending ASM.

I don't think there's an extreme difference between ASM and an AoA LM room, unless ASM is overrun by cheerleaders or something.
The buses can be shared more often at an All-Star, if that's a concern.

I would switch to ASMovies. Save the money and put it towards something else on the trip. I have stayed at all of the all stars and have nothing bad to say about any of them

The buses wouldn't be much of a concern but the cheerleaders on the other hand... I rather not deal with any kind of large groups/convention. We check in Friday. I'm expecting larger crowds due to the holidays but I'm surprised by all the rooms still available and even for AP discounts.

I was rather surprised too.
There must have been a lot of cancellations or they added more rooms to the AP promo.
When I booked our trip in Oct there were 2-3 resorts open for our trip that starts tomorrow.
Now, almost all of them are.

As for where to stay, we've stayed at LM and at ASMu (which can't be hugely different than ASMo)
If I was to stay in 1 again I'd opt for the AS over AoA

For $190 i'd definitely stay at ASMu. Thats a good chunk of cash! AoA is lovely but the LM rooms arent exactly close by.

I would go with AS Movies, way smaller resort and less walking distance than the LM Rooms.
