Trying to decide on which to pick for next year. It will be dh, I, and our 3 dds- 8y, almost 6 and 3.
If we can get a 2bd value it would be nice to have the extra room for the girls so they wouldn't have to sleep on the sofa and pull out chair, and we can use he living room after they go to bed. But we take the chance of not getting a SV and I don't get my master bath with the separate tub and shower that I love.
If we book a 1bd SV at Kidani, we obviously get a SV, and I get my beloved master bath at Kidani. But we only get a 1bd but have the key extra bath in the living room area.

How is the master bath at Jambo?
Which would you pick for our family if either is available at 7m for next October?

We had the horrible parking lot view on the value 2 bedroom this summer. I will never book value again. It is not worth the gamble to get that yucky view.

My suggestion would be to book the 1 bedroom at Kidani. Put your three kids in the king bed and you and DH can have the living room and don't have to worry about keeping the kiddos up. :thumbsup2

I've heard it is very difficult to get a value 2 bdrm. at AKV at the 7 mo mark - from your signature, it doesn't look like you own there - so it will probably be hard. That being said, we have to get a 2 bdrm because we have 6, but I love having the living room area open and the kids having their own room. And I know what you mean about the master bathrooms at Kidani - they are great!:goodvibes

There are only 10 2-bedrooms available in the value category. As they are all in Jambo House, the 2-bedrooms are lock-offs so they could also be reserved as a 1-bedroom and a studio. As nolanboys noted, they are difficult to get at 7 months because of the low points cost and the limited number of them.

And only two of the 2 br lock-offs face the parking lot, so statistically odds are greater for savanna or pool view.

The Jambo master bath has a combined tub/shower; it is not an impressive room but serves its purposes. The master bath at Kidani 1BR is far more impressive and has separate shower and tub.

Kidani 1BR is about 200 sq ft larger than the value 1BR and about 100 sq ft smaller than the value 2BR. What you get with Kidani 1BR is the extra bathroom, large living room with both the pull-out couch and sleeper chair so kids can be easily accomodated, and guaranteed savanna view. If savanna view is important (it is to us) I would go with Kidani 1BR savanna view and not risk parking lot or pool view with value room.

We don't own at AKV, so yes we would be trying to book at our 7m window. The more I think about it, the more I think the 1bd SV at Kidani would work better. The SV is important to us, and I love the Kidani master bath. We can work around the kids being in the living room as we are usually at the parks anyway so we all go to bed at the same time. Thanks for the replies.

You will have no problem with space for your 3 kids in a 1 bR at Kidani. I
My three kids were 7, 5 and 5 when we stayed in one and they had enough space to sleep without difficulty .
