I am arriving at MCO, renting a SUV thru Dollar on a Thursday and returning it to WDW on Saturday for 82.00. I think I got a heck of a rate problem is we usually rent a car the whole week stay but I thought heck this way I get to MCO to US to WDW for 82 with no issues.

I won't have a car though for my early CP ADR. Won't have a car to get to Ohanas one night..

Would you take the above deal at 82 and worst case cab ride it over to MK for an early ADR or would you hold out for the week long rental cheaper? Best price I could get was 236 for a week and a day...

I would book the deal as long as you aren't renting from priceline or someone else where you have to pay in advance and it's non-refundable.
You can keep checking on a daily basis or more for a good rate for a weekly rental and then just cancel the shorter one.
Generally you can book and cancel as often as you need to.

You're paying $27.30 per rental period for the current reservation (no half-day rates, you're paying for three rental periods).
You would be paying $29.50 per rental period for the eight day rental.
That daily difference if $2.20 is negligible.
Walt Disney World provides early morning transportation from all resorts to all theme parks every day.
You can get directly from any theme park to the Polynesian for your 'Ohana reservation, or transfer at any park if starting from your resort.
If you won't need a car for anything else, don't rent a car for the week.
If the difference in rates of $17.60 total is acceptable to you, go with that rental and cancel the three-day rental.

I am slow tonite! Not sure where the 17.60 comes into play..I assume you are basing it on 27.30 per day....I am at 82 for 3 days vs. 236 for 8

Three day rental at $27.30 per day extrapolates to $218.67 over eight days.
Eight day rental is $236.50?
$236.50 minus $218.67 equals $17.83; I was a few cents off, what I get for doing math in my head.

Anyway, my point is, you're already paying pretty much the same price per day with either rental. So price shouldn't be your deciding factor. Need should.

Got it!!! Thanks. I guess I was thrilled to be able to pick up at point a and drop at point b. That usually is such a heavy penalty!!!! This seems to be a good deal and even if I did 2 cab rides if needed somewhere - I am still at around 120....
