We're heading down later this week, but doing Disney first...

Anyway... We're going to Universal for 2 days (first timers!) - Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley are our priorities - where should we start? I'm thinking we'd love for DD to get a wand at Ollivanders, since she is 11 and all :) What park should we start at?

I'm not going into this completely ignorant... I just have some reading to do later this week... :headache: For now, I'm just looking for thoughts from those who've been there, done that.

TIA!

I'd start where Harry started and follow his route. It's kinda cool that way.

And also, the Ollivanders at Diagon Alley is quicker to get thru and cooler- going thru the hallways full of shelves of wands....

We did Diagon Alley at park opening in November and it worked out well. Got on Gringotts with very little wait, got a wand at Ollivander's with no line or crowd. Later in the afternoon, we rode HE over to Hogsmeade and by that time it was pretty crowded over there but we still did Dragon Challenge with minimal wait. We started our second morning at Hogsmeade right at opening and got on FJ with no wait as well, and then rode HE back over to DA/US. Overall, we liked Universal better as a park than IOA and we also liked the area of DA better, even though there were less rides. It felt like a bigger, less crowded area than Hogsmeade did.
