WWHOP ride question for "non-fans"

So we are spending one day at US/IOA in March. MY husband and son love the big coasters but are not fans of HP (Sorry! No hate mail, please!) My plan was to avoid that whole area but I wonder if there are rides within that thrill-seekers shouldn't miss. Anything that is worth waiting in line for that a "non-fan" would want to experience?

No hatin' from me! I was not a Potter fan; not that I dislike it, but I just couldn't get into the books. WWoHP actually turned me into somewhat of a fan because I watched the movie it's loosely based on (can't remember which one, but the one with Buckbeak) after my first visit to gain a little more appreciation. But even if you have zero interest in anything Harry, ride Forbidden Journey. It is an awesome ride for anyone who loves thrills, and the story is generic enough even if you don't know the Harry books. You will also appreciate the amazing detail in the whole WWoHP area.

You must not miss the Dragon Challenge roller coaster. It is within the WWOHP and one of the 2 big coasters in IOA. It typically has a relatively short line. The Forbidden Journey is not to be missed. You don't have to be a fan to appreciate the novelty but watching one or 2 movies before you go will make it more fun.

Forbidden Journey will be interesting if for no other reason than that it is interesting technology. If you look off to the side during the ride, you can see the robot arm moving the other ride vehicles around. (The story itself is just a kitchen sink of vaguely-related scenes tossed at you one after the other, even for someone who *does* know the books well, but the ride will give you a memorable experience.)

And Dueling Dragons was a great coaster long before there was ever a WWoHP. A neat coaster that used to have a fantastic queue. Just be sure not to wear flip-flops and make sure your glasses are held on snugly.

Similarly, Hippogriff was a standard kid's coaster before Harry came to the neighborhood - it can still be enjoyed for its own sake.
