Hi all! Had my weigh in on Thursday. I did good....lost 2 lbs. Boy was I glad after TOM last week and that .6 gain, I made sure I lost this week. Hope everyone else did good too.

Greetings Everyone!

Just wanted to say "bye" for a little while. Found out that DH and I are expecting our first child! So, I'll be gaining, not losing for the next nine months.

Best Wishes to everyone and I'll see ya back here next year!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Down only .2 this week. It must be because Monday starts my menstural cycle?!?!

Does anyone out there find they don't lose that much right before their cycle starts?

At least I didn't gain - especially seeing that I stuck to the program and went to Curves 3 days too!

Just weighed in this morning and I am down another 3.2 for the week.

CONGRATS ON THE LOSES EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

Down .6, was hoping that it would be more, but still glad it was a loss. I think I am going to try drinking a bit more water and changing my exercise routine. Also, maybe signing up for e-tools and making a better effort at tracking everything.

Knovak, yes, I was only down .6 before my cycle, but right after that I was down 1.2, so I definately think it has something to do with it. Hang in there!

Lost one pound last week. I have to stay away from sweets. Last week was my birthday and I had a slice of cake and a piece of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Sweets are my downfall!! :guilty:

Hi Everyone-- wondering if you all had any advice... I decided yesterday that I am going to finally do Weight Watchers. I am a lifetime member, but haven't been active since 2001 (after my dd4 was born). We had to reschedule our WDW trip (that was supposed to be now) for nine weeks from now... so I am hoping to lose 9 lbs! Do you all think a lb a week is doable?

I was wondering-- do any of you have any great secrets (low point food etc).. or websites that give info about how many points restaurant food has?

thanks so much-- I am hoping this will work.. jen

YES!!! :thumbsup2

WW online has restaurant pages to use, and there's a thread of low-point ideas (which I'll bump for you, and others, to take a look at). :sunny:

Onward and Downward all you LOSERS!! :cheer2:

Good Monday morning-

Boy, I had one of those "life" weeks last week and just couldn't find the time to get onto the boards like I wanted to. I am going to say I am sorry up front for the long winded post. I also tried my best to not miss anything or anyone.

Kristi1357-WOW-9 pds to goal. You go girl. :woohoo:
Misty89-.8 is a loss don't forget, it wasn't a gain. Not meeting YOUR mini goal doesn't mean you have failed so don't let it get you down. :grouphug: You are doing great. Sometimes our bodies don't think the way we do. Keep up the hard work.
heatherfeather24-Congrat's on your 1st child. You don't have to stay away from the thread just because you don't have to WI. Keep us posted on how you are doing. :goodvibes
di4chat2-Way to go on your loss last week. Keep it up.
BamaBaloo-You are doing great and had a great loss last week too. What a super group we are. :cheer2:
knovak-Yes, I don't lose much, if any, right before my TOM hits. I also have to resist the cravings that I have. That is one time that I do feel like I deprieve myself but if I let myself have one, I know what is going to happen. I save the times that I want to have something really bad for that special time, not my TOM. You'll have a better loss this week. :thumbsup2
disneyfanz04-Congrat's on a good week and here's to another one!
saturday97-You had a loss and that is better than a gain. I do believe that changing up things (exercise, food types, etc.) does help. It keeps your body guessing and doesn't give it time to get comfortable. Drink up on that water too. :drinking1
RAMWDWFAN
kerry34-Congrat's on your loss last week. :bounce: :Pinkbounc
jenniferma-I do think that 1pd/week is reasonable but try not to obsess over the numbers. I just wouldn't want to see you start to get discouraged and then not keep on with the plan. Remember this isn't a quick fix, it took us a long time to get to where we are at and it is a lifestyle change that is going to help us get to where we want to go. :sunny:

Remember to change your clippies when you get to, it is always fun to see them changing. I hope everyone has a great OP week. I'll be back in a little while to report on my WI.

TammyNC -

Thank you for always being so positive and inspirational - you help me stay on track. :goodvibes I am hoping for a better loss this week. I have to attend regional meetings next week in Las Vegas which is worrying me some as my food choices will be dictated to me - hopefully if I don't lose at least I will maintain then. Thanks again for being such an inspiration.

Thanks for that note. You know, it takes so much effort to look for the bad in things. Life is so short that we must decide to find the light in everything. I have to get a bit off topic for a moment, :offtopic: please excuse it, but I lost my dad in 1999. He was 51 and had ALS. He was a man that worked so hard but took little time to enjoy things as he was waiting for retirement. Well, as you can see, he didn't make it to retirement. He was the type of man though that never complained throughout the short time that he lived with this disease. He was always positive and just tried to make sure that everything was taken care of for my mom. DH and I were in the typical rat race of working, dinner, kids to bed and time to start the next day. After watching my dad and thankfully learning the lesson on how short life can be, we slowed down and realized that we have to make the most of every day we have. We should always look on the positive side of things and not the negative, enjoy vacations (WDW) even when people ask, you mean you're going AGAIN?? and remember you can't take anything with you when it is your turn to meet your maker.

Sorry for that note, I've just been missing my dad a lot in the past month or so and I feel you all are my friends and I always like to share the lesson that I learned from the hardest time in my life.

OK, back on topic now. As for your trip next week, how about packing a few snacks that are OP for you so that you'll have something that you can fall back on if the choices there are just too horrible for you to be able to stay OP. You could also pack you a small cooler to carry with you on the plane to keep in your hotel room with some veggies already cut up or some good fruit. I have taken a few weekend trips on retreats where they prepare all three meals, etc. and have taken my own snacks, salad dressing, etc. and been able to actually lose weight while I was gone.

Now, we leave for WDW next Thursday evening and will be gone a week. I am truly not expecting to lose while we are there but I do expect to maintain. I will enjoy our trip and meals but I am sure that I will make better choices and be more aware of the amount that I'm eating. We will continue with some walking (other than around the parks) on the trails at WL.

I went to WI this morning and was happy to see another loss of 1.6 this week. I am now at 27 pounds gone.

Keep up the great work everyone. Our group here is such a motivation to keep going as they say onward and downward.

TAMMY...so sorry for the loss of your dad...I know that it has been a while, but the pain and emptiness never go away. :grouphug:

You really are a motivator, and thank you, because sometimes I start to feel discouraged, and then I come on here and you are always saying something motivational to someone, and it gets me right back in the swing of things!!!

I have def. learned my lesson about taking life for granted. My DSIL is always on me about going to WDW AGAIN, and you know what, I will take the memories that I have made with my family over looking back and having no memories any day. When I was a kid we were very poor(single mom with 4 kids) and never went on vacation, there are no memories for me and having fun with my family, just going to school and coming home and we had to be very quite bacause mom was trying to get some sleep to go to work at night(she worked 3rd shift) I want so much more for my kids, I want them to look back and say "mom I had such a great time at....(wherever, doesn't have to be WDW)"

Anyway sorry for the ramble....thanks again Tammy for your motivation!!! :thumbsup2

Tammy, as always you are a wonderful source of inspiration. Thank you for all the encouragement and well wishes. I wanted to cry reading your post about your dad. It reminds me of my grandfather who will be gone for 3 years on March 9th. I lived with him throughout my whole childhood and he was for all intents and purposes, my dad. The pain never really leaves you. Anyway, not to make it about me, but I know how you are feeling now.
Enjoy that trip of yours and I am sure you will do just fine maintaining your weight since you seem so focused. Thanks again!!!

{{HUGS}} Tammy! You're always here for everyone offering support, I'm glad you shared with us and let US be here for you. :grouphug: I wish you had had more years with your Dad. He died very young, but your wonderful memories are forever yours. :cloud9:

I went down .5 this week. :confused3 I guess I have officially lost the Holiday weight I gained, without even trying! :thumbsup2 I'll take it! :rotfl:

Onward and Downward all you WWs!! :cheer2:

I'm new to this thread, but this was my first full week on WW online, and I weigh on Mondays. So, today I weighed and I was down 3.5 lbs!!

My goal is to lose 80 lbs. total, so, 76.5 to go!!

Weigh to GO!!! :cheer2: Welcome! :welcome: Keep checking in here, and posting, and keep us updated! :thumbsup2

If I can do it, ANYONE can!!! ::yes::

Best WISHes! :goodvibes

I really appreciate everyone not minding that I went a little off topic there, sometimes it just needs to come out. Thanks for the hugs and support.

KimRaye-Great going on your loss this week and being pre-holiday weight now. I still have a ways to go but look forward to being at lifetime with you one day. :teeth:
beckmrk04-Congrat's on your first WI, you did great. Keep up the work and remember to get that water down. :cool1:

Well weigh-in was yesterday and I'm up two pounds. Some bad choices during the week food-wise and not as much exercise as I should. Why are the pounds so much easier to go back on then they are to take off. :confused3

No regrets - just a bump in the road. Back on the treadmill this morning and staying away from the chocolate in the house. :)
