Sprinkles is closing?

I actually had never heard of them before, so when I first saw the sign at Disney Springs way back when it first opened, I thought 'oh cool, an ice cream place'...then looked inside and no sign of ice cream. I never really got into the whole cupcake thing (I'll eat one if someone buys them or they're at a party or catered event, but I don't think I'd go buy one). Many years later of course, Salt and Straw opened so there actually was an ice cream place in Springs...though I haven't yet tried them either - I like ice cream, but haven't had a yearning for it while at Disney Springs yet.

I'm more of a scoop ice cream fan so when I'm thinking 'ice cream place, I'm thinking of scoops rather than soft-serve.

That's too bad. I never got to try them, even though I've been to DS several times over the years. Even on vacation I try not to go overboard with processed sugar. I don't think $6 for a cupcake is too bad. TBH, I'd much rather pay $6 for a cupcake than $22 for a cake slice. Actually, I think I would much prefer to try some donuts at Everglazed.

I’ve been into Sprinkles a few times, I never realized they had a really nice outdoor seating area overlooking the water until now. Perfect for a new counter service restaurant. I’m thinking Greek, Lebanese or Thai.
