I have lost 8 lbs since we have started but haven't lost any since Friday.

Congratulations, Amanda!

It is not uncommon to have a very large initial weightloss, followed by a stall. Your body is making major changes. But to not lose weight since Friday (i.e., the past 4 days) isn't considered a stall. You may be expected too much too quickly. WW advises weighing in once per week. Personally, I WI at home every morning but I expect fluctuations up and down and average the 7 WI for one weekly number. You may want to try that, or, gasp, force yourself to stay off the scale and just WI once per week on a specific day.

Most importantly, slow weightloss is the best weightloss because it is healthy and much more likely to be permanent. WW strongly advises no more than 2 lbs per week. AFter a few weeks, most people can expect .5 to 1 lb per week by following the plan. I know that may sound discouraging, but it didn't come on overnight!!!!

Excerise will speed things up and make you feel GREAT while on your journey.

Good luck :wizard: :cheer2:

Thanks. I was kinda thinking that. I guess I just expected my initial drop to e more :( I wasn't ready for the slow down yet. I will be good and stick to my points tonight, but I am looking forward to Christmas dinner :)

Welcome, and Congrats Amanda! Slow and steady wins the race. Onward and Downward.

ACK! I forgot to WI this Monday! :earseek: Hopefully, I'll remember to do it tomorrow. Being home is great, but my routine is shot.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I know I am not supposed to weigh in everyday, but I can't help it :rotfl2: My weight doesn't usually fluctuate too much. If it says I gained, I probably gained lol. Thanks for the advice. I was pretty good last night but ate a few hershey kisses and Christmas cookies. But I haven't touched my flex ponts (don't usually). Anyway, I am down 9 lbs this morning. I am hoping to be able to go to my inlaws and say I lost 10 but I am not holding my breath. Thanks again and I will be back!

Ok, I remembered. I'm down a lb! 79 total. My body must be getting ready for the Cmas invasion! :earseek: :rotfl:

I was down .4 last night.

Not bad considering the time of year, Dad's birthday party, and that I was no angel this past week. The baked Cheetos killed me! :teeth:

I am just happy to be maintaining through the holidays.

Keep it up, everyone!

A VERY bad weigh-in last week -- up 3 pounds! :earseek:

I knew that I would be up a little, but HOLY COW (literally :rotfl2: )

This week will be an utter nightmare between the holiday and my stress level at work. Just hoping not to gain any more so I can start taking it back of on Dec. 26.

Happy Holidays to all.
HF24

Went in for weigh-in tonight.....I lost another 1.2 pounds making a total weight loss for 2 weeks 4.2.

I was up a pound again this week, but that's ok...I know if I wasn't going to WW I'd be up 5 lbs. That's why I joined in Dec instead of Jan. I'll try harder to stick to program this week and hopefully I'll be back in the right direction next week.

Congrats Kristi and jodi! :cheer2:

hf & cm, you'll be fine ASAP! ;) Back OP!

Make that 78.5. I was UP .5 this morning, and that's just since Wed when I finally remembered to WI last week! :sad2:

Happy, Healthy New Year everyone!! :grouphug: :cheer2: :goodvibes

Bad, bad WI last night! I was up 2.6 lbs.! :earseek:

I was bad last week and knew it would be a gain. I just didn't expect that much! I am going to be totally OP this week with the Wendi plan again and hopefully those 2.6 will drop right off.

Keep plugging away, guys! :cool1:

Got back from Christmas vacation on Wednesday and I had gained 2 lbs. I am back down to what I was before Christmas. Now if only it will work that way with Disney next week :rotfl:

good morning -- remember me? i visited this thread a few months ago but didn't stick with it! urgh!
well i took the plunge and just joined WW online -- flex plan. i WI this morning and was horrified -- then i was more horrified to see i have regained enough that i went UP a points range, only by 5 lbs so hopefully in a couple weeks that will be untrue. I'm hoping i flush out 3-4 lbs this week just eating like a normal healthy person again!

Hopefully one you lovely WW ladies can help me real quick. I'm unofficially on WW, my aunt gave me all her WW materials to use as I don't have the money to officially join right now. I've lost 19.5 lbs since my start on November 8th (yay!!) Anyhow...I've been addicted to smoothies lately because they fill me up. I make my own basic smoothie at home. I just don't know if I'm calculating points correctly or not. Here is the recipe I use:

1/2 cup dannon vanilla light & fit yogurt
1/2 cup frozen strawberries, thawed (all natural, no sugar added kind)
1 cup ice

Nutritional Info
yogurt: serving size 1 cup = 100 calories, 0 fat, 0 fiber, 2 points --- I use half so this would be 1 point, right?
strawberries: serving size 1 cup = 50 calories, 0 fat, 3g fiber by my calculations this is 0 points?

I guess I'm just paranoid because I looked up info for sonic's smoothies to get an idea if I'm doing this calculation right or not and I see their smoothies are like 350 calories and 9 grams of fat! Is that because they are using a powder mix? Thanks in advance for any help!

Correct

Calculations are correct, but WW online lists unsweetened frozen strawberries, 1 cup, as 1 point. :confused3

I am very pleased to say I weighed the same this week! :cheer2: :goodvibes The holidays are in the past now. ;)

I was confused about strawberries as well. When I used an online calculator, I got .5 points. So it is 1? Good to know.

I would say if you have the product's label info, then use the calculator. But, without that info, as a general measurement, 1 Cup = 1 pt.

KimRaye - thanks for helping with my calculation! I'd been counting my smoothies as 2 points to be on the safe side even though I only use 1/2 cup of strawberries, I think I'll just keep it at 2 anyhow, strawberries are tricky. I think I was paranoid because they just taste too good to only be 1 or 1.5 points! Thanks again!

I'm just back from my Jan LT WI. I was 1 lb. below goal. Phew! I leave for my Disney Marathon tomorrow and I'm sure by the time I get back from Disney I will be above goal!!!!!! I'll have a few weeks to get back to goal for Feb's WI.
