Kathy (Mikamah) - thanks for your support! :sunny:

Kristi - Hang in there! It sounds like you are almost there, you can probably maintain on your own and we are here if you need us. :grouphug:

Julie - Yeah for you! Nice surprise, it's their scale that counts right?! Keep it up! :cheer2:

Kathy - Whatever you're doing, it's working. It looks like we will be at Disney at the same time except we are staying at POR and you'll be at POP. Maybe we'll run into each other down there. When you see me drooling at the candy shop or ice cream stand, you can guide me in another direction, Ha!! I am really looking forward to my vacation except for all the temptation I will have to face. popcorn::
Take Care everyone! --Renee

Hi all,
WI this morning went well. I was down 1.2 for a total of 22 which is my 10% goal, so I got my keychain. :cool1: It is also 5 pounds since I joined the disboards  so I got to change my clippie. I don't know if I would have gotten back on track if not for the support here. Thanks everyone.

Kristi- don't feel like a fraud. I think max goal ww has is a bit low for some people. For me to get there, I need to lose 50 more pounds, and I think I'd be happy and healthy if I lost 30-40. That is great your leader suggested it, and maybe that's where you're supposed to be. Congratulations!!!!

Have an awesome weekend. Hope the sun shines everywhere. :sunny:

Down 2 lbs for a total over 27 lbs!! My diet is officially on hold now as we go to WDW on Monday! My mom and I plan to not diet at all while vacationing and we can't wait to eat!!

I couldn't agree MORE!!! ::yes:: :thumbsup2

WI today- down 1.2. :)
This tracking of every little thing really does work.
Hope all are having a great week. It's so hot here, it will be hard not to have ice cream.

so I'll hopefully WI again on the 19th and be back posting then. :teeth:
I've been back since Friday.

I was unofficially down 2 lbs before I left but, I am up .5 from my last official WI, so I gained .5 officially. It still feels like 2.5 tho, since I didn't want to leave at that weight. :guilty:

The numbers game can be SOOOOO addicting! :sad2:

Keep up the losses fellow WWs! :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Ok, I have to vent!

My doctor's office FINALLY called me back regarding the doctor's note that my Weight Watcher leader suggested I get from him.

My doctor refuses to write me a note saying my weight is healthy for me! :furious: He told his office person to tell me that my BMI is still too high and that I am welcome to come in and talk to him about it further! Umm, hello - I was there 3 weeks ago and you told me about how a liquid diet would help me lose these final 4-6 lbs.! What kind of doctor suggests that?!

I know I should have switched docs long, long ago - but I was lazy about it. There have been many other incidents in the past also with this guy.

I am going over there after work and having my records sent to me new doctor. Hopefully, the new one will really, really listen to me and see that I am certainly not looking for an easy way out. Shoot, I never would have even asked for a note had my leader not suggested it!

Thanks for listening!

:grouphug: Kristi!!

4-6 lbs surely can't have your BMI "still too high"!!! :sad2:

Better luck with your new Doc! :thumbsup2

I'm def going to have to agree, hope you have better luck with the new doctor...if you're not that much over the range and you feel comfortable there, I see no reason for your dr not to give you a note.

I weighed in today and lost .4 so that makes 27.2 lbs in 14 weeks. So I managed to hit my goal before my trip to disney. I'll miss two weigh ins while I'm gone but I'm hoping I won't gain more then like 2 or 3 lbs over the course of my 16 day trip! I leave sunday...Good Luck everyone while I'm gone, hope you all have good weigh ins...stick with it you can do it!!!

Hey All! First of all...
Kristi - Your Doctor sounds a bit loopy - I would also get a new one. Good Luck - It sounds like you have done awesome!!

DisneyGirl - Congrats to you - Keep up the great work! Do a little power walking while going through the parks and you probably won't have to worry about gaining too much that week. I'm jealous. We are still 56 days away but that is 56 days that I still have to lose some more and try to get closer to my 10% goal.

Kathy, Yeah! You made it to your 10% goal, I think it'll take me a while to get there but I WILL DO IT!! With everyone's support how could I not, right?!

OK Friends- drum roll please - Here is my news. Since joining WW and WISH two weeks ago, I have lost a total of 5.8 lbs. :yay: (Notice the new clippie!) At my WI today I was down another 3.2. I wanted to jump for joy!! I have been hungry lately and felt I was cheating a bit as I have been using some of my flex points here and there. I never use them all but I have been using an average of about 10 of them a week. I just can't help myself.
I still have to do something about my increased appetite in the afternoon and evenings. Mornings are a breeze because I am never hungry then but about 4pm, I am starving and that's after I've eaten a healthy breakfast and lunch. I try to save most of my points for evening because that's when I'm the most hungry. Any tips that you all may have would be MUCH, MUCH appreciated!!
Well good luck to everyone and remember that together we will all reach our goals and dreams -- :grouphug:

Have a LIGHT and Disney day, Renee

Renee- Congratulations!!! That's an awesome weight loss in 2 weeks. Keep up what you are doing. I don't think you should feel like you are cheating to use the flex points. My ww leader also says that. They are there to be used, and many people need to use them to keep up their metabolism. When I first joined ww, many weeks I tried not to use the flexpoints, and found I lost less weight than when I used them. Since I joined wish 6 weeks ago, I usually use most or all of my flex points, and have been losing steadily. Evenings are a tough time. I always leave a few points for evening snacking. I like microwave popcorn, some nights I'll have a bowl of lucky charms for a sweet craving. If I start binging, I come on the disboards and try to stop. I will look at the pics of disney food thread, and think about how all that food will taste on my vacation. It doesn't make me eat more because I don't have any thing that good in my house to eat. :)

Kristi- Sorry your doc is being such a jerk. I'm glad you are going to someone new and hope you will have better luck. I can't believe he suggested a liquid diet for the last few pounds. I think you'll be better off without him. Good luck with the new doc.

Disneygirl- congratulation on your great weight loss. Hope you have an awesome vacation.

Hope eveyone is having a great week. :wave2:

Renee, USE your flex points! They're there for a reason! :thumbsup2 I have used and exceeded my flex points nearly every week, for over 2 years now and, while I'm NOT at 75lbs lost now, I AM at 74, and maintaining, after a week at WDW! :goodvibes It could have been so much worse if I didn't practice a little WW know-how while I was there! :teeth:

Great job everyone! :cheer2: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :woohoo:

I agree, Renee, use those flex points! You should avoid being hungry if you can, because I'm convinced that your body will start "reserving" fat if it feels it's being starved. Just be sensible in the foods you fill those points with.

Hey, check out my new clippie!

Thanks for the advice about the flex points! That does make sense about your body storing fat.

UrsalasShadow - What a beautiful clippie but I will bet that you are even more beautiful now than this clippie!

KimRaye - Sounds like you did a fantastic job while at Disney!

Kathy - Thanks for your continued support and motivation. I know I need to find some more sensible foods that are more filling. It is too bad that peanut butter is not more WW friendly.

all of you are awsome and doing a great job. I weighed in today and was only down .2 lbs, but that's still in the right direction. I'm still down 7.2 lbs in 4 weeks. I think this week my goal it to write eveything down. I think I might be going under my point allotment.

I am so glad I found this part of the board!!! I first started WW in 2000 after the birth of my DS, I was 235 then. In 10 months I lost almost 70 lbs, it was so easy (ok, not that easy, but you know what I mean). I had another DS in 2002 and have struggled to loss the weight again. I just can't get motivated to do it. I even turned to Dr. Phil's book to help me figure out why I just can't seem to get it this time.

Luckily I didn't gain back all the weight I lost but close enough! I would love to be down even 20 lbs by the time we go in Janurary but the last two weeks I have gained (one week I didn't Journal at all...bad me!! :sad2: )

My leader at my meeting is just awesome though. Since I had foot surgery in April and some side issues because of that, I haven't been able to get out and exercise, she's been so encouraging and sweet. She was my leader the first time around too :)

Anywho...lol I just wanted to say I am glad there are others here that are on WW and know about the plan. I weight in on Wed. so I will hopefully have better news this week. I have been a bit better about tracking, but not as good as I should have been.

Congrats to everyone who lost this last week and for those like me, who gained, it's a new week, what's done is done. Move forward with me and be a loser too...lol

Lori

Hope everyone had a great weekend and are on track. I visited my bro and family and used 20 flex points on sat, :guilty: plus 2 activity points, but today I still have 5 points left for the day. My day off varies, so I don't weigh in the same day each week, but have found that starting a new tracker every saturday gives me the weekend with the full 35 flex points, and if I use most of them, it is much easier to stick with my daily 26 points during the week.

Welcome Lori. This is a great place to get motivation and support. I've been doing WW since sept and from jan-may I hadn't lost anything, but since I found this board, I've been tracking everyday and losing weight slowly and surely. There are a lot of wonderful, supportive people around here. And we all love Disney too. Hope weighin goes well wed.

I haven't posted a WI for a about 2 weeks, I gained the past two weeks. The first week I gained a pound, and the second week I gained .4, BUT I am happy to report that this week at WI, I lost 10.8 this week. I had a very stressful week, and turned to exercise instead of food(I also switched to CORE)...it worked!!!

Keep up the great work everyone!!!! You guys are doing awesome!!
