WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce myself. I'm not new to DISboards or WW, but new to this forum. I rejoined WW at the beginning of Jan to get back on track and hopefully be down several pounds before our Disney trip in May.

Part of my motivation was an experience I had over the summer. We took DD to Silverwood, an amusement park in northern Idaho, and we got on one roller coaster and I got kicked off because the safety bar wouldn't lock in place over my large stomach. So embarrassing! DD had to ride by herself and I had to act like it was no big deal that I was just told my booty was too big to ride. :sad2:

Also, I noticed a trend in our family photos - I'm not in any of them! I love photography so I'm always behind the camera, but I think I've been using my weight as an excuse not to be in them. So I have hardly any pics of DD and me! We plan on taking advantage of the Photopass pics at WDW and I'd like to be able to look at those photos with joy not disgust.

So here I am - Down 8.5lbs already and making a goal of another 24.5 before we leave for Disney. :thumbsup2
Just reading through this tread, I also had a seat belt issue at Silverwood!! I feel your pain, it took me over a minute to get the seat belt on, after sucking it in, everyone was watching me..so imbarrassing. I don't want this to happen on my next trip to WDW!

Happy Monday morning! Today is weigh in day and I'm down 5.5 for my first week. I realize the first week loss reflects a water weight drop and past history has shown 4-6 lbs for me, so I'm right where I expected. I even passed one of the weight 'markers' and my daily points level dropped a point. I'm sure there will come a time when I react with less excitement to that :lmao:even though it represents achievement!

Off to cook and egg and pack my lunch.

Onward and Downward everybody!

Great Job:dance3:, hope my first week WI is so exciting!!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday! The weather here is BEAUTIFUL!!!! :woohoo:

Well, tomorrow is my "D Day". We'll see how bad I really was. Last week I had a VERY, VERY, VERY bad day!:scared1: I just ate junk even though I wasn't hungry and all the time I was thinking "What are you doing!?" I totally deserve a gain and expect to see one. That one bad day though, really made me realize how horrible I had eaten in the past. I really felt sick that night and part of the next day. I'm so much better off when I eat healthy and make wise choices and I know that!

One good thing is that I walked 8.5 miles last week! :yay: I'm so glad that the weather is nice now and I can get out and walk. We have a treadmill, but for whatever reason I absolutely hate walking on it. I'm hoping that once I get into the routine of walking daily outside that if it's rainy, etc that I will WANT to walk on the treadmill.

Great job! :cheer2:

Love seeing all the activity on this thread. I had my weigh-in tonight, and was down .5 pound. Given my eating habits this week, I'm OK with that. I still need to get my water intake up, and watch my veggies. Like some PP said, I really need to work on getting my fruits and veggies in before going for the bread.

Nancyg56: Great job on making goal. I am so impressed and inspired!

Tinkerbell87512: Yay for 4.8--what a super job.

ibouncetoo: I'm envious--I need to work harder if I'm going to keep up with you. 5.5 is a super start.

Hope everyone has a great week. Off to cut up some fruit for tomorrow.

Well, I had my weigh in yesterday morning. I was up .6 ~ which I honestly expected to be more.:scared1: Like I said in my earlier post, I had a VERY bad day last week. I now have a cold and really can't taste much, so what's the use in eating?!? ;) Hopefully that will help me to get back on track! I'm glad that I found this thread and I still have alot of back-reading to do, but have really liked the postive comments that I've read everyone giving each other. :yay:

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!

I am at my goal :yay::yay::yay: I joined WW April 21st, 2008 and last night, April 20th I hit goal. Now, becasue I have shared my setbacks and challenges with you, you all know I took the scenic route to goal but thanks to all of you I made it and am 30 pounds down! Now I just need to maintain and keep walking. Thank you all for your support and encouragement, I appreciate this more than I can ever say! :worship:

My DH, who has learned the very hard way which questions are acceptable, got it just right last night when I came home...he is still alive and breathing and not worried about arsenic in his ice cream.

I have a DR appointment today with the gyn. I always went to my family Dr but last year she insisted that I go to him to make sure that some issues I was having were resolved. I was not in his office for ten minutes when he was offering me "free" diets  and I was remembering why I had not wanted to go to Dr's. Right after that he was telling me his theory why women experience the issu's I had.....cancer worries....which had never entered my mind......until then. My regular DR has been so supportive and encouraging so she was shocked when I told her. Dr M said that????? By then I had started laughing about it and told her I would forgive the cancer scare but that he had a long way to go before I let the "chubby" inference go by :laughing: My sister said I should tell him I did just fine without his "free" office provided diet plans ;)

Whoo hoo!!!party:GOAL!!party:
Congratulations Nancy!! You must be so proud and excited. I'm a little late to the party, but wanted to congratulate you.

I have been going in the wrong direction, and really need to get back on track. I haven't been here in a long time, but when I came on the first post was a quote from me last april- thanks disneyloving senior, I had been doing so well then, but have gained almost 20 pounds of that back. I sounded so motivated then, but then lost it and haven't been back on for more than a week or two. It's been two steps forward, three steps back. With summer coming, I want to get back and stay back on program. This has always been such a great, supportive thread for me. It's so inspiring to see everyone's successes, and to know I am not alone in my struggles. So tonight when I want to snack, I'm going to come here instead.

Thanks for all the encouragement. This thread is really amazing! For everyone who has lost weight congratulations! And for those who didn't have such a good week hang in there!

I had my weigh in last night and I'm down another 5.4lbs. So as of now my total is 10.2! I was very pleased! It truly is a way of life. I use to eat a bunch of junk and thats all changed now. The fact that I feel full now after a light meal and fruit is a big accomplishment. That never use to be the way before. I truly look forward to getting on the scale now and seeing all my hard work paying off!

I hope you all have a wonderful week and keep up the great work!!! :goodvibes

Good work everybody!

As I sit hear eating my Cheerios, I'm prompted to ask a Question of the Week:

How do you like to 'spend' your breakfast points?

I prefer to have protein for breakfast, I find it holds me over till lunchtime better. My perfect morning is a piece of fruit shortly after waking up and then an egg (or 2 oz of leftover dinner meat) before heading out to work. I will make myself have cereal once and a while so I can get in my dairy (the hardest part of the plan for me), but I hate spending four points for it! :upsidedow

On the weekend I like to have an egg on 1/2 of an English muffin and some Simply Fruit on the other half...it feels like a feast.

One thing that I've been "hooked" on lately is 1/4 c. Egg Beaters (whatever flavor I happen to have) on an Arnold Select Sandwich Thin. I works out to be 2 points and is very filling & good! Works great for me! I absolutely LOVE these sandwich thins! You can toast them, eat them plain, whatever you want! I make my Egg Beaters in the microwave and toast the sandwich thin. Sometimes I add a little FF mayo, ketchup or a slice of WW cheese and adjust the points.

I still have to pick up Egg Beaters at the grocery store (still don't have all my required supplies). They come in FLAVORS now?

I've had them in Cheese & Chive, Southwestern & Garden Vegetable. I think that may be all the flavors, but am not sure.

Yep, that's the flavors (as well as egg white). I popped over to their website. Think I'll get regular and some of the southwest when I get back from my vacation (one more week!) It's so quick and easy to plop some in a bowl and microwave...when you don't have time for skillet preperation. ;)

Today is an Applebee's lunch day, looking forward to that.

Wow thanks for the info!! I have to check out the store near me, I have never seen flavored egg beaters!

I like to eat weight control oatmeal, with some fruit for breakfast.

Well I weighed in for the first time......3.5lb weight loss:banana:!!! I have been exercising all week in my mickey shirt to keep me motivated for my trip in Sept, and keeping track of all my points online..a first for me on weight watchers. Have a great week everyone!!

Good job on the exercise! That is where I need to work, I am the queen of excuses :guilty: Now keep going, you know where you are headed so put that week behind you, you can do this!

I missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks for the congrats, I remember all the support you gave me :goodvibes:goodvibes

Okay....you backpedaled a bit....and you feel like you failed? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Failure is when you do not even start so there is no chance of a step back. Now stop looking where you have been and look where you are now from when you started this journey and then look where you are going. You are not alone, you are surrounded by all of us and we are all in the same boat going to the same place that you are.

Thanks for all the encouragement. This thread is really amazing! For everyone who has lost weight congratulations! And for those who didn't have such a good week hang in there!

Sounds VERY good!!:thumbsup2

Just thought of something else I've had for breakfast that I saw on Oprah one day that was VERY filling! Make oatmeal, but instead of using water, use apple juice. Very yummy!!!:goodvibes It reminded me of apple crisp. I haven't had it for a while, but I think the points worked out to be 4 or 5, but like I said, it was very, very filling for me!

My standard breakfast on WW is 1 cup of cherios, 1/2 cup of fiber one and 1 cup of skim milk for a total 4 points. I usually eat a banana or some other fruit either earlier in the morning, or later (depending upon whether I sleep in or work out early).
