 Hello Everyone! I'm sorry I've been a way from the boards for a bit. I just got somewhat caught up with the posts. :welcome: to all who are new! Ms. Heimlich, I'm actually subscribed to your October trip report. I LOVE it! I'm on the core plan, and down another .4lbs. I know it's been slow for me, but I am getting closer to that 70lb mark. Hopefully next week. :) And as for what I've lost.......
1 automotive tire
4 Chihuahuas
10 dozen large eggs
1 house cat
1 krispy kreme doughnut and
1 guinea pig :rotfl2:

But for next week, I would like to be down an Irish Setter!!!:goodvibes

Congrats to all the losers!! If you stayed the same, or gained.....stay on track and the weight will come off!!:goodvibes :goodvibes
Until next time........

I finally got to my 10% loss and am down 3.0 pounds this week. It's so nice when you lose more than you think you did. I really had to talk myself into going to the meeting today. I know summers are going to be so easy for me to talk myself into not going. The discussion at our meeting today was about that same subject. With so many people going on vacations and the kids home from school it's when a lot of people fall off the wagon so to speak. I totally felt like the leader was talking directly to me. I left with a new attitude of "I am going to make all my meetings in the summer"!

I missed my last 2 weigh-ins.:(

The last time I weighed, I was UP 4.4 lbs.

This time I was DOWN 4.0 lbs.

Still not down to the lowest I've ever weighed, but I'm only 0.4 lbs away:yay:

Ms. H

CONGRATULATIONS on your 10%!!!!!!
Way to go!!!

Stay on the wagon... It goes to some REALLY cool places!!!

I know EXACTLY how you feel... Those are the HARDEST but most IMPORTANT meetings for me. If I don't go then, when do I go? I find if I go when its hard (Or I've had a bad week), the other weeks are a breeze!

Great job Ms H!! That's great since you missed weigh ins. Keep up the great work!:goodvibes

I weighed in today and was up 3.4 lbs :worried: I was down 3.6 lbs last week adn I guess I was feeling pretty good about that and got too comfortable with journaling (or rather not journaling) I had my neice's birthday party and also a dinner out for DD's dance team year end banquet. I didn't plan my food well those days and found myself with very few healthy choices at those events. :headache:

I also didn't exercise as much as I usually do...I spent all day Saturday and Monday doing yard work and my legs were very sore so I didn't get on the treadmill full force. Okay...back to square one...back on the treadmilll tomorrow full force and back to journaling every stinking thing I eat!

Grumpy's Wife.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! :woohoo:

congrats to all the losers this week and  to those that gained (am I the only one??)

So I come back to my desk from some sort of meeting to find the office manager has left a LARGE dish of Ben and Jerry ice cream on my desk. Nope, no thank you, I put it back in the kitchen and don't care if it ended up in the garbage. Then not hour later, he's back at my desk with a bag of (mid size) of potato chips. Nope, not hungry. Granted I haven't made a big thing about being on WW, none of anyones business except my nearest and dearest internt friends.

tiggerlover - love it - onward and downward.... great thought

Good for you for resisting temptation! I find that work is one of the hardest places because there is always some sort of food or celebration.

I used to use that quote all the time while I was losing and I stopped, thought it was time to bring it back again!

So......

Onward and downward!

Slow and steady wins the race, good to hear you have had another loss. 70 pounds around the corner, wow, what an accomplishment, you should be proud!

Grumpy's Wife made 10% -- Woo Hoo!!! Congrats on the 3# loss and getting your 10%, that is such an important milestone. The meetings really help to keep you on track, they are so motivational sometimes. Glad to hear that this meeting helped spark your drive. Keep up the good work.

Ms. Heimlich, I think we all know the yo-yoing that goes with weight loss, it is like that with anything, you take the good with the bad. Glad to hear that you were down this time, before you know it that .4 will be a thing of the past.

{{HUGS}}} Sorry to hear about the gain, but can totally relate. I think sometimes we play a game with the scale, at least I know I do. I have a good week and I kind of fool myself into thinking I have been so good I can indulge a little more.....but it always catches up with me. But like you said, back to square one, today is a new day!!

thanks tiggerlover. Why do we play that game with the scale??? Ughhh :headache: ;)

Hooray, Grumpy's wife!! Congrats on making 10%!!!! :thumbsup2

cepmom, hang in there--you'll be back on the downward trend soon!

By the way, I LOVE the list--I printed it out and am sticking it near my bathroom mirror. So far, all total, I've lost:

An elephant's private:scared1:,
A human head:lmao: (makes me think of the little kid in "Jerry Macguire"!), and
A guinea pig!

I'm almost to an Irish Setter, and am aiming for a 2 month old horse plus a 2 year old child!:rotfl2:

I kinda had a frustrating thing happen to me today. A co-worker of mine came looking for a snack today and I have my stash of all my low cal snacks. I caught myself saying, "this is 2 points, this is 1 point yadda yadda yadda" and I was like "oh sorry, so used to thinking about points since I started WW" and she says "oh how are you doing?" and I said I've lost 40 lbs (which I have only 10 lbs to go to be my ideal weight) and she says "from where?"

It really hurt my feelings a little I have to say. :( This is someone I work with every day. So I was a little taken aback.

Gosh, I hate it when people respond like that--it is so hurtful and so disrespectful to the hard work that you have put it to lose 40 pounds.

Congrats to you and:mad: to your co-worker.

I've been MIA lately--I've missed my weigh-ins, but I am holding steady. I just quit exercising for no real reason, so I am trying to get back to exercising and journaling everything I eat.

People who haven't dealt with weight issues don't have a clue...but maybe she was saying it in a sense of you don't really need to lose that much weight...that is what I had gotten the last time I had lost close to 40pounds on ww...everyone was like...I didn't know you needed to lose that much where did it come from...my favorite was...was your big toe really huge!

What I learned was that as long I know that I am looking better FOR ME and that things are changing and getting smaller it doesn't matter who notices!

Keep up the good work and don't let this get you down!

thanks tiggerlover. Why do we play that game with the scale??? Ughhh :headache: ;)

That is a good question, not sure I have the answer to that one. But I do know that once a foodie, always a foodie, we just learn to live a different way and sometimes we still let ourselves go. But the good thing is as foodies we are well aware of ourselves and once we slip a little we generally get right back to what we know. You have been so successful to date, I do not doubt that your gain will turn into a loss in no time at all.

 Some people, especially people who have never lost weight before, can be so insensitive. 40 pounds is an awesome loss and you should be darn proud of each and every pound you lost! Keep up what you are doing, it is obviously working.

 So glad to see you back among us again and kudos for holding steady. If we aren't losing, holding steady is the next best thing!
